In case you were wondering, this is in the pipeline. I haven't been able to contact John, though, so I suppose I'll just have to take the risk...

BRAVO..
It's not a Bf 109 ???
What is up with that ???
Looks great even if it is one of those british birds..:jump:
BRAVO..:salute:

LoL! I've been wanting to do it for ages! The only thing being that I can't find John to ask him if it's OK...

Johno's Fury with rockets actually showing? Splendid!

Just one nit-pick (sorry!) - the Fury didn't use long rocket rails like those shown, nor to my surprise zero-length rails, but like this pic:-

- it's a big pic!)
and it seems each rail carried two rockets:-

Maybe you could get Jaycee to rattle something together for the model?

Nigel, you just jogged my memory, completely forgotten about this model!

John has been AWOL for quite a bit now, we worked together on his Seafury, he even made a MK 10 without the Naval gear. These were supposed to be released at Reg's, but I never got around to it, and then Greg, had his holiday!

John was planning on doing the pit, but real life stuff took over, I've not heard from him since, it must be a couple of years now?

Don't think he'll have a problem with you doing skins, I'll try and get Greg to host the package, including the MK 10, but he might retire again when he see's all these schemes, here's 10 of them?

That's a good find! Better use those shipped with AvHistory Spitfires in that case.

Now when I think of it, that previous post of mine was largely unnecessary. I got the Johns mixed up badly. :redf:

Tom, the model I have has bombs rockets and tanks, although it does have the long rocket rails, non of my doing John must have updated for Reg's?

To be frank, John, you've done every single version that was on my list... Not much point my bothering then.

Having said that, I wish you would actually release your work once you've done it, rather than leaving it lying round on your hard drive and then coming up behind me every time I start something... That's one reason for example why I haven't done anything for the Bf109e, much as I'd like to; there are loads of skins that could be usefully brought into circulation, but it's only too easy to guess what would happen. I'd start work, get all the permissions I'd need, get to the point where it is beginning to look like it might just be worth finishing, and BANG!

The Sea Fury was a less obvious proposition. And I've just received the go-ahead from John B.

Hmm, coming up behind me every time I start something.... How many times as this actually happened ?

For the record all the skins I have done over the past 2 to 3 years have been requested by either the modeller, or a ETO/PTO team member, that includes this Sea Fury!

I don't upload to SOH anymore, nothing against them, but all my work gets uploaded at other places, ETO/PTO, and more recently Jeff's site. I also have my own section at Reg's, so no reason to upload here, and I've no interest in upload counts! We all know Greg has been away, so the last thing he wanted was me pestering him about a few skins!

John B made a special version of his Sea Fury for Reg's, I did the skin package, all good to go, Greg had health, and work comittments, and took time away from CFS3, Sea Fury, along with other stuff was put on hold, it wasn't that important!

I don't need to explain myself to you Nigel, but I have done, don't know who the hell you think you are, but I've no interest getting into a slanging match, do what you want!:icon_lol:

Sorry about that, John - no intent to offend whatsoever. Just a bit fed up that I've wasted quite a lot of my time. Not your problem. And if I'd realised what had happened to the Sea Fury and more importantly why, then I wouldn't have said a thing.

Apologies again - it's not worth having a slanging match over, as you say.

Perhaps John could upload his Sea Fury package at Reg's and Nigel could upload his here?,people could make their own standalones using whichever skins they fancy.Great to see some new Sea Furies though, thanks chaps.

Probably the most sensible thing that's been said on this thread?

Agreed!

And if I look hard enough, I think I can find a few that haven't been done... There's one nation that's been missed out entirely! I was surprised to see that, as well.

I'll be uploading full stand-alones here at SOH, then; John B gave permission this morning.
