What is it

The fuselage shape - but not that of the wings - looks like an Avenger, but one would get the impression that this was an a/c not yet produced.

hehehehehe

Sorry the fuse was way out of shape correcting that at the moment...... the 3-views I have make it different than what it is suppose to be so i looked at some photos of the plane and i am correcting the problem now will post more pics tonight that should give it away :salute:

Enjoy

I had a model of a Vought SB2U Vindicator as a kid and that looks awful simular, if I remember correctly (I probably don't, but hey I gave it a shot).

Nope. Harvards with folded wings had been pranged...

And the wheels on a Vindicator were on the outer side of each leg. But if Taz keeps changing the goalposts it could be a Battle for all I know!!

????????????

will to make it fair the goal post is in my back pocket at the moment. or dose hobbit have it :bump:

Enjoy Taz!

Got there first - that's the Chesapeake!

But I have serious reservations about that undercart. It's a linear slide-back version, and all I can find that looks like this are inward-folding...

Yes you did get there first, and I realized it only after goggling the Chesapeake/Vindicator, I had no idea that they were the same aircraft, lol. You gotta remember that my plane research days were when I was about 10-15 years old, 30 some odd years ago. And then it was limited to the little blurbs that came on the direction sheets for plastic models. No excuse, I know, especially given your indept knowledge of everything 109, that is most impressive I must say, I can't even recall the days that the trashman collects on.

I am trying to remedy my lack of warplane knowledge, I've been doing more and more research on planes that I like and that interest is vast and varied to say the least, I've tried to just pick one and just can't do it. So I've started downloading everything related to those planes that I can find and I'm well on my way to filling up my one tera-byte external hard drive with PDF's of various books and things I've found on the web. Now if I can only manage to find the time to read it all and if I live long enough.

Gotta apologize to TAZ for the thread hi-jack, I didn't mean to write a disertation, just wanted to let Nigel know that I learned something from him today, well there are actually very few days I don't learn something from him, much respect. :salute:

CADfather, one of my favourite sports is whenever possible confusing the Americans by referring to their aircraft by our names! Such as the Caribou or the Tarpon, or even simply the Mustang MkIA...
