What is your Favorite 2 Plane Purchases?

I figured I would start a thread in which developers could see what consumers like without anything negative being said. Also it give people a chance to see what is out there that is liked by Consumers.

Please include why they are your top two picks.

#1 A2A's P40 Power Pack. Got it at a Game Store for $30 as I recall and it came with a BOB game, True FSX P40, and the rest of the WWII fighters power pack.

This was the greatest FSX buy I have ever made and it was an impulse buy while looking for a non-FSX related game. The planes are all done real well, the P40 is amazing, and now A2A updated some of the other planes to be true FSX SP2. I have fallen in love with the P51 with all the new paints for it and find myself in the P47 more often now two. :ernae:

#2 Realair's Spitfire

Best Flight Modeling in FSX, Number of models, one of the prettiest planes in FSX, and I just really like Spitfires.

:applause:

1. The A2A P-47 w/ Accusim because it is an amazing plane and it just can't be beat.
2. Aerosoft F-16 because I anxiously awaited this thing for a long time and now that I have a pc that can run it, it is a great plane.

lionheart Epic Lt-- Sleek, excellent modeling and VC
Aerosoft Pby-- WW2 history and vc, its world wide historical presence to Water aviation.

The A2A WoP III P47 and AlphaSim's B-24J. I would list the AeroSoft F-16C, but I didn't buy it, it was presented by staff for repaints as a gift. Thanks a plenty mates.

The FSX A2A P-47D sets new levels for Flight Sim realness. :medals:

The WoPIII P-47 is still the best in my mind, for a second place...mmm that's more difficult...P-51, PBY, Safir, I don't know...

The Uiver team Douglas DC-2 of course! :d Oh wait, that's not for sale yet..

The Aerosoft PBY then! No wait, hasn't arrived yet.... Oh well, what's a few more days after a six months wait..

Then the first pick would be the Captain Sim C-130, and the second one the Aerosoft H-1B. The H-1 should have been first, but since it seems imposible to get my hands on the latest update...

Lionheart Viking

Lionheart Epic

Because they fly just like I think they would in real life..The trim out easy and are SWEET to fly...

#1. PMDG's MD-11X- Love the actual paper manuals and depth of simulation
#2 WOPIII P-47 by A2A- I like all the sound effects such as when you open the canopy the engine gets louder, and also depth of simulation

WOPIII P-47 w/ Accumsim - just an incredible feeling flying this bird and so immersive to boot

Flight1 Cessna Mustang - I never thought I'd be interested in a non-military jet...

Definitely the A2A 377, Flight1 Mustang, and though it has its issues ported to FSX--Maam-Sim DC-3.

But this is like trying to chose which are the best 2 of my girlfriends - they all do different things!! :jump: Depending on the cost!! LOL

Too bad the thread is about planes... I know off the top of my head my top two scenery purchases (Tongass Fijords and Ultimate Terrain USA)... planes takes a good deal more consideration...
Ultimately, I must say that my best two plane purchases were 1.) the Eaglesoft Twin Comanche (it is very well detailed, fun to fly, and a great balance between system depth and ease) and 2.) WWII Fighters (my very first payware purchase, very worth the money, even if I don't fly it as often as I should. LOTS of value for the money)

should maybe mention that I do not run FSX - even with SP2, it is too slow on my machine for enjoyment - all the above is mentioned for FS9

First is Alphasim's Supermarine Scimitar because IMHO the Scimitar is one of the finest looking naval aircraft ever produced even if it was, um, problematic to land or trap. That's one area where Alpha scores 100% on realism - just try to trap that baby with crash detection on!

Second is Skysim's Mirage - sleek lines, a wide variety of operators and great fun to fly. It was one of the first fighter planes I ever saw airborne when I was a kid. Best of all, unlike the Scimitar, I can safely land it!

Cheers,
MT

No way I could possibly narrow it down to two (even though I sort of did...). If I had to, one of them hasn't been released yet. :icon_lol:

I guess the WOPIII P-47 w/Accusim would have to be one of them. It is still the best prop plane for all of MSFS. Closely following is the Duke SP1.

The other will be the PMDG NGX once released. That has to be one of the most awaited addons anywhere. Judging by the pics of their J41, it will be unmatched in both looks and systems depth. If I had to pick a plane to put in its spot right now, it would have to be the Level-D 767.
