What size gauge is this?

Front and center. The BIG 5-way gauge. I need to know the radius of this gauge. I don't find anything for dimensions anywhere!

Actually this gauge is not original. The 5-way. The 3-way was original, but there is no reference to be found anywhere for size. Trust me, I'll guestimate it if I have too! :salute:
 
The common diameters are 3 1/8" and 2 1/4". Looking at that pic I would say the two smaller gauges are probably 2 1/4" diameter. Scale off of that. :salute:
 
The panel itself is 29" wide. Center bottom to top is 10 1/2". The gauges above are standard 3 1/8". So I'll guestimate the big one to be 5-5 1/2" maybe 6".

I would guesstimate that with two adult-sized people sitting in front of the wheels, the width of the cockpit would be 5 ft. (60 inches). That would be the approximate distance across the shoulders for two male adults of statistically average size. Therefore, the distance from the center of the 5-way gauge (the circular pointer BUTTON) to either side is 30 inches since the gauge appears to be centered.

I make the distance from the pointer BUTTON to the center of the wheel shafts to be 12 inches and the radius of the 5-way to be 4 inches. Therefore, the gauge diameter would be 8 inches. That would be logical to me in order to accurately read all of the 5-way functions of the gauge.

I did photo measurement in the Navy. Based on what you said were the dimensions of the panel, go with 6" diameter for the 5-way gauge. I am quite certain it will be be correctly proportioned when it's in position. :salute:
 
Thanks all for the response. I've just acquired a copy of the original dash drawing. The gauge is 6"
