What time do you get up in the morning?

I did try a special alarm when I first went deaf, it was called a "Sonic Boom" kind of a neat rig, you felt the sound more than heard it... well I did anyway, problem was the first time I tried it, I "forgot" to tell the wife... I happened to wake up a few minutes before it went off, I was just steping out of the shower when I felt the BOOM. I strolled into the bedroom, and after I scraped the wife, the cat, and my daughters dog off of the ceiling I watched the "Sonic Boom" wizzzz past my head....:pop4: so much for that idea... I still get a good chuckle out of that every now and again...lol

There is also an alarm for helicopter freaks - it has a set of blades on the top, and when the alarm goes off and you hit the snooze, the blades take off and go shooting across the room somewhere. When the snooze is over and the alarm goes off again, you can't turn it off without the blades inserted, which means you have to get up and find the blades, which means, what the heck, you're already up, so stay up.

One of these appeared at a Dirty Santa/Yankee Gift Swap party I attended, and over the course of the evening, four people - a contractor, a videographer, a hotel manager, and a doctor - managed to get bloody noses from the spinning blades from this dang thing. By holding their faces over it and setting the alarm off. (It should be noted that A) no alcohol was involved, just peer pressure, and B) I am a graphic artist, and not one of the aforementioned idio... er, people.)

Brian, my daughter in law gave me one of those for Christmas. Kind of useless for a retired person, but I'd never tell her that.

Being at GMT+12, most folks I connect with online are still in yesterday! Looking at the times everyone is up and about here, I begin to inderstand why everyone at SOH seems so chirpy :jump: when I am droopy.

I'm biological Moe, I don't go by clock time, I go by sunrise and sunset. Needless to say, I sleep longer in Winter. At this time of year, I tend to go to bed between 10:00 and 11:00 PM, depending on weather it is a good night for the telescope or not. I always get up at 5:00 AM, it will get as early as 4:30 by the first day of Summer. I generally feed all of our beasts save the still sleeping lizards, eat a small bowl of cereal and go on a 3 to 5 mile hike on the single track bike trails at Anglers' Park in Danville. I love the early morning, lots of nature astir.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I sleep in to around 04:30.

I am DEFINITELY a night owl--work from 11pm to 8:30am five days a week. Usually go to bed around noon or shortly after--get up around 8:30 or 9pm. Even on days off the schedule stays pretty much the same.:icon29:

I am retired, and have horrible sleep habits. To many years as a chef with all the worries and planning I guess

Now I think my prostate dictates my sleping habits. I'm up at all hours..Anywhere from 1 am to 5:30 ... I usually sleep during the day for at least an hour and I'm good to go ....Average nights sleep...3-5 hours....

I can sit at my puter, close my eyes, and fall asleep..Easily. Do it all the time...LOL

I go to bed around midnight typically.... But I used to go at 9-10..But I just woke up earlier...

By the time the family is up I have completed many household tasks, and am planning the rest of the what needs done list. The wife is not well so I do about everything ....
