What's the correct date protocol in CFS 3 (ETO)?

I'm confused again, but could someone explain me the correct date protocol for CFS 3 ETO?

In the gamepack docs it's said that :

EnteredService

Type: Date, dd/mm/yyyy
Default: Empty string
The start of the time period during which the object is available. If not specified (or specified as an empty string) the object type is available at any time up to its LeftService date.

LeftService

Type: Date, mm/dd/yyyy
Default: Empty string
The end of the time period during which the object is available. If not specified (or specified as an empty string) the object type is available at any time after its EnteredService date

In EnteredService it says dd/mm/yyyy and in LeftService it says mm/dd/yyyy

What's the correct protocol?

I understand the spawning in campaigns is regulated by the entered/left service dates. If the dates are wrong you see a Me 262 in the Battle of Britain...

the same may happen in missions without specified models as AI, but I am not sure about this
