What's your favorite airport bar?

I'm in Gran Daddy's Bar at the Minneapolis Terminal 2 airport having a couple Sam Adams Lagers. What your favorite airport bar?
 
There's one in Terminal 3 Heathrow that I kind of like....maybe because I was usually coming out of a BFE (Beer Free Environment) and it was usually the first one I had for months....

Spent a Christmas Day in Terminal 4 at Heathrow going into Kuwait drinking single malt scotch samples.
 
The beer's ice cold, the burgers are man-sized, the waitresses are good looking, and conversation is constantly interupted by howl of turboprop or cacophony of Pratt & Whitney....and nobody seems to dislike it.

...In fact....they seem to crave it.

Not as exotic, but nicely named, is the bar at our local small Fife Airport - the Tipsy Nipper !
 
The Air Host Bar at KGRB sucks, but at KMKE in the main Terminal I recommend the Miller Brew-house.
 
Great replies! I will be travelling to Varna, Bulgaria in a about a month. I will have a several hour lay-over in Gatwick UK. 1st time for me. Does anyone have a recommendation or should I get out of the terminal and find a proper Pub.

No, no, no, don't do this to yourself, Gatwick last time I was there it was filthy, crowded, expensive and not at all a pleasant place to be. The intercoms were not working in the bar area and as a result very nearly missed our flight to Vancouver. If it wasn't for a kindly old fellow who put two and two together (Canucks sweatshirt and announcements outside) "are you Mr & Mrs N, I think they may be calling you", we would have missed our plane. Had to make a mad dash and use that omnirail thing which travels at a snails pace. Then suffering the frowns of other passengers as we sheepishly and sweatily got to our seats.

Thanks Naismith! Your intel collaberates the other first hand information that I have received. I would be traveling under a United States passport and although I fancy myself not a typical 'Merican; I'm sure if anyone even botherd to notice me, I'd be pegged straight away without much scrutiny. No hope to "depend on the kindness of strangers" like Blanche Dubois. I purposed to my Bulgarian friend, who I will be visiting and has made the flight many times and experienced the long lay-over, that I would just find a nice little corner somehere in the airport to curl up in and get some sleep. She smiled at my obvious naivety and said in English with her thick Bulgarian accent that I find attractive: "You know nothing. It's dirty...noisy. Too many peoples...they don't let you be. No! No! Sleep no good. Maybe go shopping, read book...listen to music with Ipod. Walk...yes..you walk. You need exercise." Well, yes! I do need exercise...but I might get a little thirsty also.

If you are in transit through Gatwick, you might have to stay 'airside' (security).
There are plenty of drinking holes, depending whether you are in the North or South Terminal. My favourite being 'The Flying Horse' in the South Terminal (despite being a Wetherspoon pub).
Anyway, the nearest towns are Horley and Crawley, a good taxi ride away, and not worth visiting for just a couple of hours. (Actually not worth visiting at all, horrible places).

Thank you stuartcox! I actually will arrive at the South Terminal on Virgin Atlantic and then depart from the North Terminal on British Airways. I am glad you brought up the subject of "airside." I see I'll have to do some research on how to get from the South to the North Terminal. I'm hoping there is a tram or causway that is "airside" that connects the two terminals so I wont have to go through security again. I'm also just considering carry-on roller bag luggage to keep it simple. Thanks for the website for Gatwick. I'm sure many of my questions will be answered there. It also looks like the North Terminal has some construction project going on. That might impact my visit also. Still, I should have time for a quick pint at the "Flying Horse." I'm looking at about an 8 hour lay-over.

You might be in luck!
The only option between the south and north terminal is now via the (modernised) robotic monorail! That means having to go through customs, and then feel free to do what ever you want! Unless they lay on a transit coach...
(I can't see many people from your flight wanting to connect to Bulgaria though...:)

There used to be a place called the 94th Aerosquadron on the NE side of KSTL Lambert field in St Louis. It was a WW1 themed place that not only served dinner inside, complete with headphones that allowed the diners to listen to Ground Control, but there were sand pit fireplaces outside (gas fires, but hidden under the sand so the flames just came up out of the sand, cool ) where one could sit and enjoy adult beverages, watch the airliners come and go, and enjoy the smell of kerosene wafting by. There was also a hanger just to the west that handled medical flights and other things. One had a nice close-up of those operations as well.

I LOVED hanging out there, watching the wings of the tubeliners waggling down final!

Sadly it's gone now, replaced by what Google Maps shows to be a parking lot? Not sure.
