as i choke half to death here.....geese...ok..over share...
i had my 22 inch flat screen go boom about two or more weeks ago now...i ordered a new 27 inch HD LCD with HDMI conection with 1080P capability ( it shows its resolustion as 1920x1080@60hz)not sure where that puts me...i also ordered a new ati/amd/visiontek 4650HD video card with 1gb of ram...i installed the monitor the evening i recieved it,,twoday shipping so i got it 4 days later.......
.........:isadizzy:........then that next morning..which was a friday...the modem ( or which ever it is called) the att wireless thing...it made a loud pop....and i lose my internet connection..for the weekend...i called,,the man said he would overnight it,,right then..and BTW i got the bill allready and im being charged 35 bucks for over night,,,remember this is friday morning around 7am PST,the damned thing showed up teusday night...by fedex....he rang the doorbell,and as im getting up from my chair ( remember..im fat and disabled,i have a sign on my door,please be pacient,i take awhile to answer the door) i see him getting in his truck to leave......now i have a very deep throaty voice.....and i belleowed..get your "F'n" azz back over here with my box,or dont show up to work tomorrow cause i know your name robert tramberg.......he almost fell back out of his truck...and when he saw it was me,,,i asked him how many people he knows with my name....besides my dad...he said ...you...duh...then he jumped on me....litterally.....anyway...my point is...it was ordered friday,and it showed up tuesday night...i hurried out to my rv to hook it up,,,was having some difficaulty getting a connect..called tech..and then while on the phone with tech..we bth hear POPPPPPPPOP....and the lights went out...so..we ordered yet another...no charges this time..but it was shipped wednsday morning..arrived saturday by usps...wasnt connected until monday....because the ATT tech support i needed was CLOSED all weekend...
soooooo im now online,i have my new monitor,,and ive got this 1GB HD card starein at me....eating at me,,teasing me,,like a pole dancer just leaning against the poles with her long blonde hair flowing down and around the pole and her shoulders...
where was i?....
oh yes..the card LAUGHING AT ME...taunting me...daring me..."c'ome'on daveyboi...dare ya to install'me".....so id do....i end up with text the size of the text on a cap'n'crunch cerial box!!!.....took me 20 minutes to figure out how i was going to find the "next" box...so,,i get the drivers all installed..hit the "finish" button...and i wait...and wait...and wait somemore for the "system needs to reboot" prompt...never comes...so i reboot...this time it comes up same way...only i have just a standard VGA video card....this goes on for THREE days..calls to amd..visiontek and to intel themselves...and i almost got a date out of the intel call..(more on that later)...today..id about given up...this guy at amd/ati named Marc was very helpfull,even called me after he got off work today to tell me he sent me an email with instructions with one last suggestion...and i dont know how he did it...but his number was blocked so i cant call him back and thank him..though i will wrinte him a nice eamile...he had me unistall everything id done,including doing a regedit.and then uninstalling the vga drivers,reboot...then with the vga back.i installed the newest ati drivers..rebooted..went to device manager..vga device.right clicked and to install drivers..or update..picked the one where i have dis..went to my SYSTEM files and founf the accual file and loaded it that way...went in and POOF!!!!!!!
the colors are much more vibrant than before....clear...sharp crisp...dont know what to say...just exelent.....so all my whining and complaining i do......well.....WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE i is happies...
oh PS....the intel call.....im in auburn cal....our prefix is "530"..used to be "916"...that marc says the phone number to me for intel and it startes 1-916-7-------i said...916...not bad...will be long distance...but im only a few miles away....so i call..get this guy...he soulded philippino,,i asked him where are you located?..he said philipines,i then said...well how can that be,,i dialed a "916" prefix..thats rocklin to sacramento...howed did it get to a philipino office?.....he says..wait one minute sir....phone goes to a song...nice female voice comes on...hello sir...i am in lincoln,how are you today?.....well i look down on the city of lincoln and out the the casino...she has to be somewhere between...so i said..so whats ya weather like?...well,she says,,,looking towards you in south auburn...id say its about the same..cloudy..then she says...how close are you to the railhead park?..im like OMG OMG..so i camly said...well..im within walking distance..why?...she says..i have soccor practice tonight..would you like to come....watch my boyfriend and i kick some balls?................................
