• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

i tried to make an account on the new forum but it wont let me cause i have just a hotmail email addy so if one of you could get me some ip adds for games ill be more then happy to return and shot yeah bastids down again:)

Classic example

Here is a veteran flier who has been away for a while now looking to rejoin and can't access the CFS3 post your IP thread 'cause you have to create a second accoount on a sub forum and now on top of that you don't allow hot mail gmail accounts.

If he can't get in how is a new flier supposed to do this?

You guys are killing CFS3 multi player on the forum I wish you would fix this....or maybe this is just the intent after all

PS and BTW I am still hosting ETO mission nights and have been using your mission as of late. Just letting you know your hard work on this is still appreciated. If you want to join in we are flying V1.20, Do not upgrade past that as there are issues with MP on later versions
 
Hi tailwind, what sort of issues are there with 1.41? If I have 1.41 installed then I suppose I should install 1.2 as a separate install.

When flying any online mission MP either with or with out other players involved, there is a gradual degradation of frame rates. It will drop all the way to 1 frame

I first noticed when I upgraded and then hosted my usual ETO mission night. My v1.20 missions stopped working and any new missions have the same issue.

You need not worry if you are not flying online missions. If you would like to join in with ETO Mission night at Teedub's house then drop a second install of v1.20 and look in here Saturday nights starting at 8 PM Eastern

I think the 'proper' email addy requirement has been around a while, since it's otherwise difficult for the admins to deal with some of the morons who abuse their SOH membership or the turds who get one for nefarious purposes - like the pirates who put SOH downloads on their pay-to-download sites.

I would have thought someone using DSL should have a 'proper' email addy anyway, unless you only fly online from Starbucks WiFi or such. If you do use Starbucks, please tell me which branch and I'll avoid it indefinitely! :173go1:

I don't use my "proper" email for much of anything now a days. It has nothing to do with my connection quality but everything to do with not wanting to be tied down to my ISP for email. If I want to switch ISPs I don't have to worry about changing email addresses

Non of my kids nor my wife have "proper" email address. It's not an uncommon practice

I do the same, but as the guy who pays for an ISP's connection I still have to maintain one 'proper' address. That's what SOH still insist on for 'proper' membership here - it's nothing to do with killing online flying.
