Ah, I was wondering. From the other photos I could tell that you lived in the Ruhrpott, but I was thinking more along the lines of Dortmund or Bochum.

That was me who lives in Dortmund (EDLW) at the north of the so called "Ruhrpott". It's an area affected by more than 100 years of coal mining industrie but with lots of green spots, especially in its north.

I lived 15kms south of Weinheim (a.d.B.) for a whopping eleven years. I love that region!
EDFM - EDFO is my favourite short hop in FSX. Thanks to the Flighport team's excellent effort to capture those two airfields in all their glory.

Tough break there, Michael. Seems like you either need to sleep in the kitchen or in the bathroom or on the floor in front of my bed.

Hey! That's not your hometown, is it? Because every time I visited your hometown over the last ten years it rained there..!

Anyway, I would post some photo's of my hometown, but it's so utterly boring (Especially compared to some of the photo's posted here!) I'm afraid you will fall asleep behind your computers..

Delavan, Wisconsin U.S. nice little town, one of the REALLY historic ones in WI. Brick street, 150+ yr old shops. First Deaf school in the U.S. (which is still open (duh). And our pet store is 172 years old. Hmmm... Guess I'm "neighbors" with Trans_1007, but Green Bay and Delavan are about... 4 hours rom each other.

The town is dominated by an 11<SUP>th</SUP> century Norman Castle perched on the top of a lime stone rock. It is in the <st1lace w:st="on"><st1laceName w:st="on">Ribble</st1laceName> <st1laceType w:st="on">Valley</st1laceType></st1lace> and as can be seen in the photo, is overlooked by Pendle Hill.
Clitheroe derives its name from a Viking settlement which was here originally.
One claim to fame is that Sir Frank Whittle did much of his early development work on his jet engine on the edge of the town. Unfortunately my wife was involved in selling the site, (She worked for an estate agent) which still had the test beds to a property developer, who subsequently bulldozed the whole lot down too build houses. Never let history stand in the way of a quick profit!
