:mixedsmi: I had the computer game on our first computer, the show was a couple of years before my time, but I did watch "Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego?"!

I must admit...the tune was going through my head when I wrote the title as well.

This is another one of those "Birthplace of" kind of fields.
 
The hangars look similar to german ones during WWI...

Templehof and Wiesbaden weren't airfields until after WWI...


So my guess Johannistal Air Field. Fokker had shops there, and it was the first airfield in Germany, and had the first commercial flights as well.
 
Very close, Dain. Johannistal was opened a year before this one. Both were also active in both WWI and WWII.
