Where were you Born?

Toronto, Ontario :canada:

My mother was visiting her brother at Camp Ipperwash (former military camp). While swimming in the lake she went into early labour. I was thrust into this world 2 weeks early weighing only 5lbs 6oz. They kept me in an incubator for a month before they figured I was ready to hatch.

Memmingen, Germany

My sister and me as fraternal twins... no early delivery, no sir! Full 9 month, full weight both! We were the heaviest twins ever born in this clinic. And we wouldn't come out voluntarily... they kicked our asses chemically out of mom's womb!:isadizzy:

Started out in Tipton , IN & wound up Kokomo ,
Was comin out tail first & had to go to a bigger hospital.
Guess the light was hurtin my eyes .

I was born in Salem. Massachusetts, the home of the Clipper Ships. Now mostly known as the "Witch City".
My family has been in Mass. since 1636. Now my younger brothers are in Florida, Arizona, Alabama and one is buried in California. So I'm the last of the dynasty.

Born in Little Falls, New York on a snowy November morning. I was about 7 weeks premature and spent a few days in an incubator.

Very interesting thread. :wavey:

Atlanta, Georgia, Crawford W. Long Hospital. Contracted pnumonia my 2nd day of life was 3 weeks in hospital before coming home!

Still live only 19.5 miles away from there.

Glendale, California.

Dad missed the turn to the hospital then made a U-Turn where he should not have in view of a motorcycle cop. Although the officer did cite Dad (ticket is in my baby book) we got a police escort to the hospital. Sirens and all.

...I'd just like to take a moment and thank lifejogger for initiating this thread. From nation wide...to world wide...one gets to understand a bit more about that other person besides his or her log on name and avatar. Some of us where born under trying circumstances and some seeing the light of day through a humorous situation. But all of us are here by choice enjoying each others company. Well,....most of the time that is!:jump:

I was born (two weeks late) in my parent's bedroom in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, England on Mother's Day 1957 (Mother's Day in the UK is in March not May like NA). I had started making an appearance on my due date but as there was snow on the ground I must have said stuff it and went back into the warmth!

My brother (older by 10 years) was made to sit on the stairs with his gift to my mother while I was being delivered and whined and complained that it wasn't fair that he had to wait just because I was being born! I get the distinct impression he has resented my existence ever since. :frown:

My mother is now in her mid-80's and still living in the same house.

Born in Galicia, Spain in 1951. Had the incredible good fortune to be adopted by an American couple when I was 1yr. old. Grew up in Miami, Fl. and San Antonio, Tx. Moved around the planet a bit as an Air Force brat.

I too am surprised at how many of us were adopted at early ages. Interesting thread !
