This then may be a reminder (or warning even) to maintain a policy of 'no politics' here.... as we do in our own forums and many other forums I am a member of.

Also, remarks such as were made that triggered Ed to leave should be punished by banning 'on the spot'.

There are all sorts of views on life with so many of us crowding the earth, but such views have no place in a hobby community - and often not even elsewhere either if you ask me.

Instead of letting good been driven away by those 'less fortunate' intelligence-wise, mods should always take immediate and definitive action in such cases. And readers should report them, so they can be identified and acted upon.

I too hate to see Panther and MudMarine leave our community.

As others before me have echoed these words I also totally agree that a strict " No politics " rule should be enforced . I love talking about politics but I don't ever recall bringing it up here in this forum . Panther and Mud are very interesting and I really enjoyed reading their comments and especially Panther's various links that brought back nostalgic " Yester Years " Hurry back guys , I'm sure things can be corrected . You both are very important parts of our " flightsim family " here .

The reason that Panther isn't around at the moment is that he banned himself and he has stepped down from his Admin duties for 30 days of self-imposed exile. I am positive he will be back after that period, he has assured me of that via email.

i do agree that racist comments should be dealt with in some fashion. in this day and age, one expects people to be a little more enlightened, and if not, at least they can behave while they are here. there is always oso's

I was VERY upset to find out about this. I must have missed the offending thread, because I was completely blindsided. I don't know if I mentioned it on this forum (as I know I did on the CFS2 forum) but I'm a recovering heart patient. If something happening on a web forum spikes my blood pressure more than I think its worth, I leave. One of the reasons I come here is the civility. (More and more important to me as I age.) Due to a very bad experience a few years ago, I will only very rarely talk about politics on a net forum, and I can count on one hand the number of people with whom I'll discuss religion and I don't need the thumb. There's just enough anonymity for people to behave very irresponsibly behind the duck blind of a web identity.

The fact that both of these individuals did this in the way that they did speaks well to the character of the membership at large, and is a big reason I spend so much time here.

hey Big Kat take it from a guy that has gone off the rails a few times just chill out for awhile and come on back.

i know you have already said that is thats what yer gonna do but you need to see how many folks really want you back.

in all the years i been hangin out in these forums i don't think i have ever seen anybody that can keep his composure like you can so don't be too hard on yourself.

Yeah, I know where you guys are coming from, I miss my friend too but he has to do what he feels is right for him.Dat boy can be hard headed at times, but aren't we all. He upset cause his team is gonna loose anyway and he knew you guys would pick on him :monkies:
