reminds me of something for Mulberry Harbour for some reason, huge blocks of concrete that were floated by Arromanches to form a harbour for landing materiel post D-Day and until more ports were secured.... from some bumf i collected last time i was there "PP5 and PP6 were smaller types designed to support the light duty roadways rated at 25 tons."
Yes, it is still the same. A bunch of pontoons east of the town center, part of the pier (beach end) still on the sand, and the big caissons further out. There was recently an English project done to chart all the sunken debris (concrete caissons and corncob ships). They are all still there ........
