• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Why didn't I think of this before?

Nobody flies with the tightest formation, because you stand an excellent chance of smacking into your wingman during a dogfight. But just for the Balloon mission, I'd prefer to have him in my flying suit. All the better to witness, my shooting down the balloon. Plus I'm looking to Avoid Enemy Contact on the way home Anyway.

Sooo when I see ( Balloon Mission), Accept the Mission, from there return to the officers mess, Main Menu, then Workshop ( select tightest), then it's back to Main Menu, campaign, fly last mission

Sooo off you go after balloons, with your wingman, in your hip pocket

Just remember to switch it back, before you find out the Hard Way :costumes:

Brilliant Idea!:applause::applause:

I will give it a try. Mind you it's the switching back bit that will get me:isadizzy:

I always fly in tight formation. In the other settings I'd have midairs with wingmen sometimes, but since changing to tightest, I never have. I still have collision with EA during combat sometimes.

I always fly in tightest formation also and still only get about 1 in 4 ballon claims accepted.
