Wierdest movie yet!

i just saw the latest star trek movie. it wasn't as terrible as i thought it would be. but i'm still glad i didn't have to pay for it. you're right, you can get audition at blockbuster - in the states. not in toronto. i did once find "2LDK" in a blockbuster, i was pretty surprised they had it. that's an interesting one also. ooh! that reminds me! i have to hop on over to the amazon site and order my treats for this week! i am ordering "bushi no ichibun"
and maybe something else today.

also, re: the one.... i agree, cool concept for a movie. not li's best, but certainly entertaining, and not his worst. if you liked that, look for a movie called "the returner" you can look it up on the imdb if you want. i like it, but i won't spoil it.

just saw "district 9" in the theatre. i thought it was very interesting.
mr bill, have you seen it? on the surface it seems right up your alley. the underlying theme may not be for everyone though

I havent seen it CF. Does look like a good movie though!

i think the subject matter is a little highbrow for summer fare, but it's the kind of thing i like anyway. i just know that many people were expecting something else. it's a pretty good movie, i was pleasantly surprised. i think you would like it.

OOHHH!!!!!!!! BTW!!!!!! HOOk-UP FOR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!

a friend from the guitar forum gave me this link. criterion streams a bunch of classic films, you can watch them on your computer, full screen, good quality:

A little payback I see!:173go1: Most of the really good ones (Dr. Strangelove, 2001 a Space Odyssey, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, etc...) are unavailable in my area. Supposedly they are coming soon though, and until then I'll explore the lesser known titles that are available.:ernae:

Thanks CF! Will have to check a couple of those out.

Ok, I have a movie I like to watch alot but its not wierd. Maybe its wierd for a guy my age to watch it 10 times, heh heh.. Its a very well done movie that takes place in England perhaps 100 to 150 years ago. Its called 'Pride and Prejudice'. Every time I see it, I discover parts and words said and things that I never saw the first 10 times I watched it.

But, its not a wierd one.. Off track.. Sorry.. :d

(Keira Knightly plays a great part and does it well).

Pride and Prejudice can be weird!
http://www.amazon.com/Pride-Prejudice-Zombies-Classic-Ultraviolent/dp/1594743347

It's an "adaptation" or some may say "*******ization" of the 1813 novel by Jane Austen.
I started reading it, but I'm not much of a zombie person.:mixedsmi:

Its awesome...

Thats all I can tell you.. How people were so literate and intellectual back then without computers and typewriters and TV and radio is beyond me...

Pretty good movie. And a bit wierd. :d

I got this book as a birthday present this summer. I'm a deep zombie person. I loved it; but I have friends (literary people) who are horrified by the "desecration". I don't do author worship. I like what I like. I think Wuthering Heights would do nothing but benefit from a pack of werewolves roaming the heath; not the Wile E. Coyote type from The Howling though. I'm thinking more the original American Werewolf in London with Jenny Agutter.

I really liked the Keira Knightley/Rosamund Pike version of Pride and Prejudice as well. I've seen it several times, although purists will point you to the 1995 miniseries starring Colin Firth as being more faithful to the source material. I also liked the pseudo-Bollywood version, Bride and Prejudice, starring Aishwayra Rai.

PS Remember: "Teen horniness is not a crime."

just saw "let the right one in"
a freaky movie for sure. some aspects were very interesting, some were...
less than desireable

Well dang. I messed up big time.

I happened to watch the first part of the first half of 'Southland Tales'. My mistake! I hadnt seen that part yet. Only the middle to the end. I couldnt change the channel this time as I was just in shock! lololol.. I couldnt turn it off! I tried to move, to put my finger on the button. I tried!!!!!! 30 Min's of that. I finally shut it off and had to go out and walk around for a bit.

I guess I havent seen extreme wierdness in a long time... Shock therapy.

DONT SEE THAT MOVIE!!!!

sweeeeeeeet!!!!!! you hold alot more chinese stuff than me. i have a fair amount of japanese and korean stuff though. there are some titles in your collection that must have been very lucky to find! very cool. how long have you been building that collection?

I cannot remember when I started.... it just build up.... I was putting all my movies in boxes (preparing to move to the West!) and realized I have too many, I placed all kung fu in separate boxes and started making the list.... I still have a few NOT on the list.

I have the book Pride and Prejudice on my iPhone, I thing the DL is free.... and started reading it.... The story is very interesting...
