Hi all,

FYI Wilco's Bell Augusta Tiltrotor's out. Quite expensive but a must have for me :)
Unfortunately all attempts at a download give an error...guess the site's swamped....

Just purchased mine....will post up something as soon as I have a bit of time to wring it out...kinda busy this evening, but excited nonetheless!
 
Ah i back converted the USCG paint from FSX DDS to Fs9 BMP. Now this tilt cooks.:applause::applause::applause: Very fps friendly under DXT3. Well now the fun a blizzard in NE WI. Lets see what this tilt has in both flavors of the sim in preformance.
 
Sorry, not worth $40.00 to me. Looks ok, although I spotted a few gauges in the lower left of the VC that look like they were stuck there as an afterthought. I just can't justify that kind of money for that.
 
Come on Falcon, it's flight dynamics should be worth it. Yes, Rob has a gauge for this type of thing, but it's also a friggen Bell Augusta 609!! It's like the coolest thing ever! LOL Don't judge the book by the cover.

No, seriously, it really does look quite nice. Even though those two gauges don't look too right, look at the MFD's and glass 'pit features. I don't even like glass cockpits, but I'm either gonna review this one, or just end up buying it. :ernae:
 
Well, I have no screen shots to show as of this moment...but I say stay away.... I have encountered a lighting problem that I cannot seem t fix (when I turn on the lights, the whole aircraft glows in a plaid pattern; the VC light refuses to shut off and I can't seem to get just the panel lights on; and the sound set is awful). Waste of my hard earned $$$. Flight dynamics mean nothing if you can't even get past a reasonable pre-flight!

Wellll, I was actually a breath away from purchasing this till I saw the actual US payment in Paypal and I quickly hit the "cancel" button, lol. When I see little things like those two gauges simply stuck in an open space that they don't really fit into, it tells me to be very careful that there aren't other things that were overlooked or rushed. I would love to have this in my hangar, but I have a feeling this is going to turn out to be a "rush to market" item that falls short of expectations. If they can take a second look and fix the shortcomings (and I'd bet a paycheck there are some) and also take a second look at the price and come down to $30US, I'd bet they sell a bucket of them, but at $40, no way.
 
........And (at least not as of yet..) NO dedicated support forum! You would think I would have learned my lesson with the CitationX..but I guess I am a glutton for punishment. Oh well. Forty more down the tube. :banghead:
 
Patch coming for the FS9 version. One or two more workarounds to get things working properly for FS9 and to fix that lighting prob.
 
No company that wants to continue existing will just let problems like these float by. I'm hoping that they get this fixed, quickly. Fixed problems leads to happy customers, and more sales.

However, I completely agree, Falcon. :ernae: If the Price were to come down ten bucks, I'd have already bought it. However, I'm waiting to either get a review, or just another paycheck. Once again, it would simply just be nice to get it for a bit less.

DO NOT START THE PRICE ARGUMENT PEOPLE... :d Just a statement of personal preference, and this thread belongs to the Bell Augusta 609 and its new pilots. :running: :applause: :friday: :d :ernae:
 
So since there is no support forum or other outlet for this aircraft, where do we go to find out about a patch? I did register, so will it be an e-mail message or something else? I don't mind spending the money; I just want it to work. Cool plane.

But you have the woman manager and the animations to earth, type the cones, in the version for fs9?
And is not opened the cargo door.
Is only featured for fsx?
it is not that it comes explained well in the readme also in the homepage product.

Anyone know a gauge button i could use that would open the cargo door. This Shift+E+2 is driving me batty and nuts.
 
The patch will be going up today.

I can't speak for Wilco as to when they will release it but the following items have been addressed and improved and are included in the patch:

Annunciators all function properly now - recoded specifically for this model.
A new panel area has been designed for the standby gauges to make them "more at home"
Radio now working in the centre console, as is a ET watch.
Curtain pulls right across now (this wasn't a bug, we left it part open for effect when the cabin lights come on but we have now made it close right across by request)
The night lighting/texture probs have gone away.

On a couple of points, the cargo door doesn't open in FS9, poly budget at the limit already-something had to go.

The cones and chocks are not there either for the same reasons but we have retained the "remove before flight" tags which are switchable.

You won't find the pretty lady in there either. For her, you must use FSX.

If you give me a day, I will make the FS9 patch available to those at SOH who email me at bazzar@aeroplaneheaven.com. Freeloaders can forget it, you need the full Wilco package to use the patch and it will not contain the full aircraft anyway. Also, at some stage, the patch will be posted at the Wilco site so keep an eye out there too.

On a final note, although we've officially built Tilt Rotor for Wilco, we always continue to improve our stuff so at time to time, patches, bug fixes and additions will be around. You don't get left in the dark. Never will.:engel016:
 
Patience for the innumerable bug, it is known, some software house work therefore, but all these things that in fs9 do not work the animations, etc etc, go specified, BEFORE the purchase...

Patience, I have thrown 40 €, but not there will be a second time.
