Will the MAW site ever return?

I remember there was talk about further development, but more or less suddenly they pulled the plug, afaik,i still think it's outstanding, recently reinstalled and compared with todays standards it can hold it's own, easiliy!

Don't think so, bit of a sore point that. Happily the original masterpiece is available to download again at AussieX.

I quite agree, MAW is outstanding! :medals: :medals: :medals:

The original is as good as it gets! You can always add a few after-market effects and things easily enough. There are most of the later-war aircraft already available, as well. One or two more in the pipeline, too!

Doubt very much the MAW site will return unfortunately, but nothing important will be wasted!

There are a few nice MAW models that were never quite finished, I do have a couple being worked on at the moment though, and I'll keep pushing to get them all done in time!

This one however is more or less complete, I just need to tweak the pit textures, and get a minor model problem sorted, then it will be released, very soon, I'll also do some more skins for it!:mixedsmi:

Two versions MK II and III.

Wow!
That is just great, for some reason i really like those early war twin engined bombers....Bostons,Hampdens,Wellingtons,is there an Avro Anson or Hudson for MAW?
This was one of my first Airfix kits....................great job, thanks a lot!

There is an Avro anson knocking about, can't remember if was included in MAW, it would have been AI only though? I think some of the guys may have made a flyable version?

Unfortunately no Hudson, it was planned, but was never made!

There is a Bristol Beaufort which is pretty advanced, but the guy who is building it has real life stuff to deal with at the moment, I'm hoping he will return someday!

I know there are real tradgedies in the world, but the initially proposed future MAW chapters not getting far from the drawing board was certainly a heart breaker for me. oh well, such is life. I just love the blue MAW sky.

yes yes yes, MAW stuff is always welcome!!!

Just a 'little' question: the RAF used US bombs? I thought they only used British types bombs.

John, do you also plan to release some US & RAF Boston skins for MAW?

One of the masterpiece I would love to see is the Me323. Must be really funny to shot some of them with the ETO P40!! :jump:

Unfortunately, one of the masterpiece that is defenitely lost for CFS3 is the fabulous Fw190 by Mathias. I would have love to fly the A3 from Vannes in ETO to intervept some waves of B17's targetting Lorient or Brest.

This model will need some xdp tweaks Loic, so don't worry about the US bombload.

Yes I have some MAW Bostons!

The Me 323 is being worked on, but it will take time!

Your probably right regards the Fw 190, but never say never!:mixedsmi:

The RAF certainly did use US bombs. They were fitted with lugs for both US & RAF attachment methods. I believe twin for the former & single for the latter (but it could be the other way round). I have a picture somewhere of a BC bomb dump with piles of US 500lbdr's. The Royal Ordnance Factories just could not keep up with tonnage of explosive being used.
