I thought before I went through the process of downloading and installing, will this work in FSX Acceleration?

Yep, I use it all the time. :)

Occasionally there is an odd error where the aircraft carrier goes up into the air and floats on top of the runway plateau. I've got the scenery library layered correctly too.
 
I found it works and looks normally - with the ocean flatten files - but I find I get a building crash flying nearby so have to switch off collisions/crashes.
