William Dickens' (Bismarck 13) B-26A Question

OK ... I'm stumped.

I was playing with WD's B-26A tonight and I can't find the correct key to open the Bomb Bay Doors.

I've tried all the usual suspects and nothing.

It appears that the doors are modeled into the a/c ... and I can't believe that they don't open.

So .....:pop4:

It's the spoiler key... If not, try the open canopy key.

Cheers

Hi, Pepe ... Tried both "D" and "Shift+C" as well as "Shift+H" and "Shift+W" ... nothing. If you have a version that works ... would you post it in the archives section?

Thanks, Bill

Bill,

My copy works just fine with the default "D" key as well, maybe check that you haven't changed your key setup in settings.

Well ... I went into my docs and dug out the original zip ... and discovered that I had changed the airfile (to one I liked better) ... that (apparently) is the cause of the problem ... because when I put the ORIGINAL airfile back into "my" plane ... "D" opens the bomb bay doors! NOW JUST WHAT IN THE BLOODY HELL IS THAT ALL ABOUT???????

More confused now than ever ... and that says ALOT!!!

Well ... I checked out a couple of other airfiles that I liked and found one that let the "D" key work as it should. So ... problem solved ... but the big question in my mind is ... WHY WAS THERE A PROBLEM????

"OTSK" muahaaaaaa!:pop4:

well,

If you have another airfile you like better, just edit it with Aired using the values from the original airfile as follows:

Section 320 Spoilers Angle Limit (rad)=.45
Section 327 Spoiler Available=TRUE(1)
Section 1101 Spoiler Cycle Time (sec)=2.0

Then it will open your bay.

OUTSTANDING! Thanks Boatz! It was really raisinghell with the doors ... dropping thousand pounders through them. My crew chief was NOT pleased with me!:kilroy:
