I wouldn't say I was lost, but there was a certain uncertaincy about exactly where I was at. Fortunately after studying about landing on a straight place in the roads, I spotted a lake to land on so I could ask some fishermen for directions. They pointed over their shoulders and said about 50 miles thataway. And they were right....
Plenty of RDF signals to chase and we made it in to Johannesburg Rand just fine. Taxied to the gate and found this Teutonic Trimotor pulling away to head for the active.
Down safe in Cape Town. Nice but long flight even if I had to fly the last bit in on dead reckoning due to being unable to pick up that last NDB. Somehow that just seems fitting.
