Made the hop to Munda okay. Gonna take a break here, do a little mainetence on the Dauntless and bum some gas from the local Marine unit before heading across the Coral Sea.

Noticed some FS unavailble errors in the text file. I had a FS freeze up for a few minutes enroute to Munda which must have been the problem. Happens when I've had FS running for a while on this 9 year old comp.
 
Thought I'd landed a little long. But then it also rolls forward a few feet when the tailhook releases.
 
Taking off across the Coral Sea. Hope to find that fleet carrier. If I don't it's a long trip to PNG and the Marines didn't want to give me very much fuel.
 
Just realized that it's almost 69 years now since the Battle of the Coral Sea was fought. May 7 & 8, 1942.
 
Orders say on to PNG with a stop first at AYMS. I'm getting the SBD refueled and a mess cook brought me up a thermos of coffee and a bag of donuts.. Fred got a box lunch of cold fried chicken.
 
After a few issues, we're underway for AYMS. Nothing major, just a loose nut on the joystick....
