Win11

I no longer run FS2000/FS2002, but finished building a new rig a few weeks ago and am running Windows 11. It certainly has a learning curve, but youtube.com is a great resource.

What I do like about W11 is that File Explorer has a tab feature so that I don't have to open multiple sessions for different folders. MAkes copy and paste a lot faster.

So you're still around! Good to see you on the Forum! Hope things are going well! :)

Indeed. I dont see any reason to replace any of the built in programs for other stuff. I used to do over the years, but now, as the 'given' stuff is pretty good, I decided not to clutter the PC with extra 3rd party programs. ( I did try, but always came back to the originals - file managers come to mind - I did try a few to see if they are any better, but my finger muscle memory prefers the standard stuff))

Oh, I've started to use Start11, to sort out my Start menu. (to 'pretty' it up)
Not that I'm actually using it.. I'm trying the bottom Task Bar as little as possible & I'm using something called "Quick Access Popup" that is a user defined Menu system that pops up when the middle button of the mouse is pressed. It is a great add-on.

I totally disagree about MS Defender. I have watched it just leave the barn door open and let the virus in. I thought it was good enough for a friend and that cost me a boat load of time fixing the PC. Since then all I use is Eset and I refuse to use a free anti virus. I pay too much on PCs and software to let them have cheap protection.

That's my 2 cents you can disagree if you like but that is my stance.

Different strokes, Defender, with the Defender UI, has worked for me, about 3 years now, without any drama.
