Windows 10 May Update? Anyone ventured yet?

Just been reading about all the 'wonderful' new features in the latest update. Anybody been brave enough to allow the update yet? Experiences?

I did a clean install of Windows 10 Enterprise build 1903 last weekend. I never do updates, always go for the full clean install.

Very happy with the way things are running. P3Dv4.5 is running beautifully on it!

Well I tried - cost me half a day to get my C drive back......to the 1803 build.

The installation just stopped at around 27% and said goodbye - with a dreaded blue screen loop due to some Logitech driver issue.

Got into safe mode but found my backup program doesn't work in that ! Tried a LOT of suggested remedies.

OK now - not sure how I did it - but dreading another automatic update.

I did the update, but it did cause issues with P3d for me. Video drivers somehow became all borked up and I updated those as well. All seems to be just fine now.

Well I combined the update in tandem with moving the whole shebang into a newly furbished den (i refuse the term man-cave) and apart from the unfortunate incident of stepping on my favored and very long HDMI cable and crushing it under my considerable bulk, the whole operation went smoothly. Cannot say I have noticed any great improvement. Oh and a $10 Hub unit fell apart too. :pop4: Chinese crap of course.

I updated to 1903 and also updated my nVidia drivers to 430.86 WHQL. I haven't experienced any issues yet with P3D V4.5 or XP11. No problems with my Oculus Rift CV1 or Saitek X52 either.
My laptop and Minix Neo Z83-4 Plus mini PC are also running 1903 update without any issues.

After a frustrating few days I have gone back to the previous build of Windows 10. I kept experiencing an annoying flicker or flash (but black instead of white). I tried updating my video drivers and rebuilding the shader cache with no luck. I even tried a uninstall/reinstall of P3d making sure to delete any trace of the program on my rig with the same result. Annoying black flashes that just would not go away. After reinstalling the previous build of Windows 10 all is well again.

Finally got it loaded on the fourth attempt. It was the USB thing.

Apparently Microsoft don't think you need a mouse or keyboard any more... been using wireless units for years now - thankfully had the old wired variety stashed away - do I have to keep them forever ????

I wonder if all those expensive people in California ever think things through.......grrrr :banghead:
