Look here for more detailed info: https://www.zdnet.com/article/windows-11-faq-heres-everything-you-need-to-know/

- Win 11 is not running well on AMD CPU's

D/l and run the "PC Health Check app" to see if your PC can run Windows 11 : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11#pchealthcheck

- and prepare to be disappointed because you are going to need a 1 - 2 year old PREMIUM, HIGH $$$ BIG-ASS
PC.

More Win 11 Upgrade Info

I am providing this to help everyone understand what PC specs Win 11 will require and the differences from Win 10 it will bring.
I have witnessed THIS FORUM going from XP to Win7 to Win 8 to Win 10 and believe more knowledge can make the transition MUCH less stressful.

It would appear that upgrading to Win 11 will be in many ways, similar to the upgrade from Win XP x86 to Win Vista x64.
This is a different bird from Win 10 due to the enhanced security / hardware requirements.

Today I'd like to share an article on SOME of the operational down-sides of Win 11

8 harsh realities of being a Windows 11 user

That bothered me too! I kept windows 10 from updating to windows 11 until I know, how certain of my programs run (specially FSDS2, FSDS3 and also CFS2, my old and still in use programs and games)
I personal run Windows 10 (64) on an SSD with only windows and all programs I use, nothing else.

-Before I updated from Windows 8 to 10, I made a Clone of my windows 8 SSD on another plain hard drive as backup, then I updated to windows 10 and looked if everything works. I think this is a save method to update.
I run CFS2 and all other games on a separate hard drive and there on a separate Partition to keep the games save, -and it’s easier to make a backup.
