Thanks for the links, I enjoyed them both.
Not much research though, just wikipedia.
British engines from the days when that really meant something.

As to the Noratlas sound files, I would be very surprised, given the
attention to detail given to the rest of the model, if they are not sampled
from recordings of the last remaining operational example.

The sound to these are like music , trouble is many hated the noise .... course this was after buying property close to the airport :pop4: don't figure .. I guess the sound signature would be different compared to the Noratlas even only for the fuselage shape from a flat slab to the rounded hull . <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><input jscode="leoInternalChangeDone()" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

Sleeve valve engines are quieter than poppet valve ones. It is not by chance the Japanese called the Beaufighter the "whispering death". I have heard a Blenheim at an airshow some time ago at North Weald (OK, I admit they were smaller size engines) and it was heavenly music.

For a clear view just delete/backup
- Nord_VC Reflets.bmp
in the \texture folder.

This is not necessary anymore after installing update 1. Now you can switch the windshield reflections on/off when using the configuration panel (configuration appareil/Reflets verriere:O/N)

As somebody who spent 4 years in the RAF working on, and flying in, the Hastings, I can tell you that the Hercules engine noise is more Hell than Heaven.

In spite of that, I look back on those days with great affection. 24, 36, and 511 squadrons RAF Colerne.

:salute:

I like how he calls it 'optional reflection display'... what's it reflecting? stick figures?

Smells like a bad glass recipe to me.

As you think my english is too poor, I will not cause you any harm in translating the manual.

Regards

As I explained to you in the rather rude PM you sent me, my criticism is of the glass technique, the recipe used, its absolutely NOTHING to do with your English. If you don't like the criticism, I'm sorry.

And don't worry, there are several English manuals for it on the net.
