For under $15.00 you can get a really nice Combat Flight Sim. Although it is not open to external mods, I find it to be a very nice sim with lots of eye candy!!

I bought Wings of Luftwaffe from Steam and the p-40 addon from Yuplay tonight and had no problems with activation at all.

It is sort of both. It has a simulation mode in which the flight models are much more difficult and you can set things like mixture, etc. If you want to play a quick arcade style dogfight you can do that but if you want a more in depth simulation type mission that is available also via the settings.

I bought it for $15 a while back and have found it enjoyable and well worth the money.

Do you know how to activate other joysticks besides the ones on their list, I am very dissappointed with this sim since I must play it with the "keyboard" !!!! totally ridiculous....
 
Bought today.
6$ is not much and even if it is not a true simulator I liked the demo.
Graphic is simply wonderful, on the other side, skin management and damage model are very simple. I mean, the skin is one per type of aircraft and the damages shown in game are always the same per type of aircraft.

And I hate the Macchi MC202 with a 4 blades prop!!!
It never had such a propeller, only three blades....:mad:

I know that you can set it so that you have to take off and you can pick from a few predetermined load outs for training missions.
 
I have bought Wings of prey from Yuplay, can i combine the steam addon even if they are bought from different stores?

I bought WOP and the Luftwaffe addon from steam. But I bought the p-40 addon from yuplay. All three work fine and were activated with no problems. As a matter of fact all three of my items show up under my yup lay account as if I purchased them all from there.

It should work....
