I LOVE the Winter Olympics! I love the Olympics period, but I prefer the Winter ones. I can't wait for it to start! Thanks for the "tease" video demorier!
The Olympic torch passed through our town en-route to BC on Dec. 23. My wife and daughter stood out in the cold to watch it as it was carried, relay style, along the town's main street.
The torch visited our town as we are the most southern town in mainland Canada (it has also visited the most northern town too). The only places further south than us are the Point Pelee National Park that juts out into Lake Erie (and the torch went all the way to the tip of the peninsular) and an inhabited island in the middle of the lake that is only accessible by air at this time of the year as the lake freezes over and stops the ferry from running.
If you are interested you can follow the torch's progress across the country on the following website which also has many photos and stories from the places en-route.
