On Tom Stovall's and my behalf I am very pleased to announce that we are working on Chi Chi Jima 1945 now. I'll do the terrain work and Tom is doing his magic on the airfield and the scenery objects again. So far I traced and compiled over 90 islands and islets of the chain up to and including Torishima, where the IJN had a naval lookout station. Basically this is the continuation of the island chain from Iwo Jima to Japan. I'm almost done with the basic work and only need to correct a few errors as well as refine the coastlines and the land- and waterclass textures. Besides that I'll try a few techniques that are new to me, which is work that will go into the Solomon update. See attached images, they were shot in P3D. Note the frame rates :)

Cheers,Mark

Roger,

The wife has called the ambulance, and the mortician wants my casket deposit.....:applause:

Please let me live long enough to fly this wonderful scenery, in my favorite WW2 locations...Pacific forever!

I took the WBS P51-D on a Reno like racetrack around the island. Here's the video of it. Note that this is the very first time I did a video, so don't expect any fancy editing. Also, the shorelines (sorelines) are mere placeholders. Ignore them, please.

Have fun,
Mark

ChiChi Jima Upcoming

Here is another video of ChiChi Jima showing some of the effects and details of the upcoming scenery. We are getting well into the development of ChiChi Jima. It should not be to long. Thanks for watching.
