Inspired by the amount of FSX addons springing up here recently, my buddy Guy Neild and I thought we'd mention a project we're working on at the moment... Decimomannu AB, Sardinia, Italy.


Decimomannu 'Deci' LIED Air Base will be known to many of you I'm sure as it has quite an incredible history of Italian Operations and many many NATO detachments of Air Force fighter aircraft right up to the present day. So, we decided to make the scenery as close as possible to the 'current' situation according to the fairly limited amount of photos and information about the base itself.


It will be for FSX only and we're about 30% done. We're hoping to have it completed by year end. It'll have a custom AFCAD, custom lighting, photoreal and quite a bit more we won't mention just yet!


Here's a few pic's - it's very ongoing so please excuse the unfinished look.

I'm making everything from scratch in Gmax so it'll be slowly but surely progress...
 
I used the scenery for Deci quite a bit when I had FS9, if I remember that file had the target range at Cappo Frasca on the north west part of the island. Any chance of that being included?

Ok, you caught us out - the Capo Frasca range was one of the little extras we're not mentioning yet that'll be included :icon_lol:

So don't tell anyone ok?

runway light issue

I am enjoying your Deci scenery very much, only issue I have discovered yesterday is that the runway lights go out completely when landing, specifically after a certain distance has been approached... All the other scenery lights are working fine and looking great. Anybody else experiencing this? I'd love to resolve this, since I have made Deci my home base... Is there any fix for that? It's the only airport I have runway light issues with (so far)...
Let me know if I need to make screenshots to illustrate the issue...
