WIP Dutch Wozza Harvard repaint(s)

mgr

SOH-CM-2023
Hiya,

After my switch to FSX, was very happy to discover Warwick Carter & Co's T-6 Texan. Really love flying it.

So could to resist in starting to make some repaints for it, beginning with the PH-MLM of the SKHV (Dutch Air force Historic Flight)

Almost finished, although screens are still without the "spec" texture, still have to make those.

Yes i know the T-6 Texan is not a true Havard IIB the RNLAF flew but comes close enough. :kilroy:

Hey, superb to see some attention coming to this nice bird! Just got to love that sound when those T-6 fly by! Just heard it today, running outside to see fly by !

Would like to see the "Super Slug" AT-6 based at Aachen Merzbrueck also, registrated as D-FAME.

Finally I got to admit that I am quite drunk, got off work and some fellow students got me into some beer, and I resulted in memories of D-FAME buzzing by at Breitscheid Airshow 2010. Had an Avenger there, a Mustang, too and a PW powered 190 A8/N, but the loudest thing there was this exact Harvard, giving some distinct beats right into the ear as it took off!

Edit: Sorry if this is too OT, those beers and that Tequila and Jägermeister had some input here, I guess...

Nice one!
My first flight ever in real life was in a Harvard, PH-BKT

Wish my first flight had been in a Harvard as its always been my favourite aeroplane (as you can tell from my title on here!). First for me was a Cessna 150 but now have 10 different Harvards in my logbook, including the T-6G and the ultra rare SNJ-7C.

Looking very much to the repaint as think this T-6 model is the best one out there.

Best wishes,

Martin

there were a couple people who were working on new repaints and paintkits for this plane and would love to see them done. This plane is very nice and a great flyer. The only paint I fly it in is the repaint of a South African plane I believe it is.

There indeed were, tried to hunt them down before starting my repaint. Sadly all there work is either lost or was not available for public usage. So in effect making my own repaintkit at the moment. So the first repaint is taking a lot of time, also the aircraft is at some points mapped in difficult ways.

Will keep you posted on the progress.

Marcel

Looking good Marcel! Do you intend to release your paintkit as well?

A long time ago I started the conversion from the "master files" into layered PSP files. However must admit I never finished this conversion.

Cheers,
Huub

Almost finished, the inside got a paintjob aswell including some gauges, can you spot all the differences?

Note, all the light green paint, is as the T-6 Harvard IIB's of the RNLAF were painted and also as are the current SKHV ones.

This looks great!

I have a side question since this nice T-6 model is in the spotlight again(maybe someone can shed light on this). What ever happened to the replacement sound pack work that was going on for this model? It seemed very promising but I lost track of the progress & never saw if it was completed or not?

I believe CBris was working on a set at one time, fsxar177 might have more info.

Found the video of the custom soundset that was for the T-6.

Also, I believe there were to be some repaints of racing T-6's.

Found this also... Link:http://www.fsxairsports.com/projects/002/

Hiya,

Just a quick check, did anyone have problems with installing my PH-MLM repaint?

Have a report of a user which i can not place.
