Wombat's Pacific Tour

Down the back stretch

Gonna reload my plane just in case and then head on down to Rabaul. AYKV to AYTK

Time for some lunch

Down safe at Tokua. Feeling my blood sugar dropping so it's time for some food before continuing down the slot to Buka.

Back in the cockpit

Belly full and feeling re-energized I'm taking off form AYTK and heading for AYBK

In the home stretch

I know I'm burning through the miles today, but I'm in the stretch and heading for the finish of this trek. And the weather is awesome!! Haven't seen a cloud all day. So I'm off for Gurney. AGGM to AYGN.

Landed at Girua

I kinda forgot that the beacon for this one wasn't on the airfield, good thing I studied my maps before hand. Only Port Moresby left.

Th - Th - Th - Th - That's all folks!

Here I am, Port Moresby. Flew a hop over the the mountains, did a low level buzz job with a victory roll over the runway before landing. Sweet!

In summation

Ok, maybe I should have been doing this all along, but here's a summary of my route, for all those interested. Take offs: 15 Landings: 15 Total direct miles: 3,118.6nm Total flight time: 9:01:18 ( I knew that roll would cost me, lol ) Total duenna time 9:01:39 Average ground speed: 345.23 knots Amount of fun experienced: I can't count that high :) Looks like I was the first one to finish, so here's your time to beat gentlemen.

I tried everything to separate all those data lines and I can't figure out how, Sorry for the mash up.

Well done Wombat! Your math agrees with mine, which is good. Excellent run!

A few screenies

Austin asked for some screen shots of my B model mustang from Warbirdsim. I tried with my old screen shooter, but I couldn't get the darn thing to work the way it should. So, I searched around for a new capture program. Took off this morning for a photo session over Port Moresby, here's a few of the results in the plane I flew during the tour. Hope you all enjoy.
