Impressive artwork. Would be pretty sweet to see this stuff covering some FSX warbirds! Anybody need a painter? :icon_lol:

These are all late models, so perhaps the repaints will be in the future packages.....

Most likely not by these guys, but you can't fly their beautiful 2D work in FSx ;)

Cheers,

profile art is simple, i do it and apply technique to repaints, most of which go unreleased, the main problem with using a profile as a texture is that a profile is shaded, would work great on a repaint but to keep it highlighted on top and shaded underneat and looking like them you'd need to be flying straight and level. tom Tullis is a legend in the Profiling community, as is Ugo Crisponi & Jesters Ink etc... Jester used to skin for IL2 then moven on to profile art... i started in FS and am now profiling as well... i asked Jester if he'd give it a go, but as he doesn't have FS its a no go from him... shame really.:kilroy:

I've heard that some of these artworks are actually 3D models, painted and then rendered in Max to give shots like that, there not full 3D models as we know, but half models to give only the image shown, ie no VCs or gear wells, engines etc.

All that aside, they are an impressive form of art work, be it rendered 3D models or brush/pen work or even electronic, PSP or Adobe photoshop etc.

Best

Michael

I know just the CFS2 A6M2N Rufe to paint that scheme onto Banana Bob...and it flies great in FS2004. Don't know if it will work in FSX or not...but Akemi has produced some really really sharp CFS2 planes...including a stellar Rufe.
