• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

WOW! This is a simulator engine!!

yup, been around for a few years now. If i remember rightly the guys in talks with some dev studios so hopefully we'll be seeing it used for games rather than just tech demos :)

Note, no stuttering, smooooooth frame rates... :)

Whats really wild is that alot of the scenery is created by matchmatical fractals, if I remember correctly, like all the trees on the mountains, all done by distancing and fractal structures. Its a totally new science in virtual space creation in a sim.

I found this while looking for game engines... really doing some research on game engines to match what I want in a naval simulation.

Looking at this,Quest 3D and Visual 3D.

Right now just seeing how to import models and create real landmasses and water.

Outstanding interview! Thanks.... I need to go find that forum thread for screenshots.... around the area of 21N 157W :jump:
