• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Help!!!!!!
A very strange thing has started happening with some of my CFS2 files. Especially those in the INFO folder like callsign. Even though I am logged in as the administrator, these rouge files tell me I cannot change them and that they cannot tell me who the owner is. So, I try to change the owner to me, the administrator. However, I am still told by windows explorer that I do not have permission to change the owner of the files to the administrator. This is on a Vista operating system. Other specs:

Help! Anyone! Bearcat? I am losing control!

Erufle,

This is very common with Vista, I have the same problem. You will have to go into Control Panel and turn off the user accounts feature. Upon completion of this and resetting the computer, you should be able to edit your files freely.

Yo Ed;

This is probably Gawd's way of punishing you for being so mean to me!

Nah...He's just being punished for using Vista !!! :icon_lol:....

Ed, you should give Dirty's suggestion of "back to XP" some serious consideration. I'm afraid i can't be of any help on this -- i never got around to downgrading to Vista. I use XP Pro SP3 and Server 2003, with my eyes on the horizon for Win 7 and Server 2008 when upgrading season rolls around again.

Nope. Turning off user accounts is the first thing I do.
