WW1 Western Front scenery package!

Mike, I have an empty layout and associated GSL file which I use for testing the scale of new or converted objects. I usually use the RAF type and his girlfriend on the Norton motorbike for gauging the size of buildings.

I chose some extensive flat land in Holland at sea level for placing the objects. I needed a large area to test the Gius villages.

Hi All,
Although I am not a painter I think I did a little better.
New hedge textures and a GSL with changes to the hedge positions, more guns added, and railway parts warehouse on the mole raised.

Regards,
B24Guy

Naval Guns Walkabout

Just back from a tour of the coast. All looks in order except for this set of wandering guns...

Kevin and Scott,

My pic above is not very clear. If you look to the left of the aircraft you will see 4 naval guns without revetments.

Hi Ravenna,
I loaded the GSL that came with the original package. The guns have no revetments in that GSL.
Do you want just the large revetments around them?

Kdriver,
Thanks for the comment on the hedges. The texture mapping on the model is strange which makes it difficult to paint.

Regards,
B24Guy

B24Guy,

The revetments have been located closer to the coast and a little further south from the guns. As there don't seem to be any other structures near the guns I'm assuming that it is the guns which have wandered. It would be good to see them back in their pits so, yes please...the large revetments.:encouragement:

Ravenna,

Your saying the gun pits are already in the GSL. I can't seem to find them.
Could you give me some directions to them?

Regards,
B24Guy

Hi All,
I guess the options are...
1. Delete the guns.
2. Add revetments at current location.
3. Move guns and add revetments.

Any suggestions?

Regards,
B24Guy

Yeah, I guess just put revetments under the guns as they are. If we find the empty pits we can put camo over them and use them to grow mushrooms:biggrin-new:

Hi Chaps,

Whether intentional or not, the guns are actually placed at the correction location of the Tirpitz Battery which comprised of four 11 inch guns.

Yes, revetments just need adding.

Cheers,
Kevin

Yep, when I looked at my reference map it could only have been the Tirpitz battery. Would it be useful if I send the layout for the Flanders Marinekorps gun batteries?

Hi All,
Thanks for the offer Ravenna. I think I got it done.

Here is a updated (to this point anyway) GSL.

Regards,
B24Guy

Hi Folks,

I've updated the package with the Felixstowe and Killingholme flying boat bases.

The scenery files for those bases are in the KD_Europe_Terrain, KD_WW1_Airfields and GSL folders, as well as the airbases.dat file in the INFO folder. Nothing else has changed.

New objects for this scenery are found in the updated CFS2 Library Objects Expansion 3.0 pack.

Cheers,

Hi Folks,

I've updated the numerous hyperlinks so that they now point to the relevant downloads in the new library.

In addition the RNAS seaplane base on Hornsea Mere has been added for our upcoming Sopwith Baby.

The Kiel Canal which is navigable has also been dug out.

Cheers,
Kevin
