WWI Zepplin Is Landing

Life on the Zepplins got a lot less comfortable and a lot more nervous after they began to be shot down on the raids over London, moral reportedly plummeted after one of the largest of the main fleet Zepplins was shot down over London and fell on fire from many thousands of ft. There were no survivors. I wonder why they did not have parachutesx.

I just found a Zep base from the late Aer. The file is called zep.zip. never tried to install it, but in case you want it, just give me your mail again.

Yes that is a good one, it has a base near the front line and that is the one shed we have so far. I believe they have that at simaviation or flightsim, not sure which.

Anyone else having problems with the Zep in MB? It tends to just spin out of control and crash for me:isadizzy:.

Im using it as AI for target practice,but she starts to wobble and lose height as I enter the combat area and crashes before i get to shoot at her.

(I guess it saves on bullets)My Sopwith Pup is getting lonely up here!!!

Just Guessing...

"... Anyone else having problems with the Zep in MB? It tends to just spin out of control and crash for me..."

RC, this sounds like the AI control issues that CFS2 has with some larger (or more complex) aircraft.

Try going into the Aircraft.cfg file and lowering the numbers shown in RED below by Half (your original numbers may be different, but the idea's the same):

---------------------------------------------------------------
;Moments of Inertia
empty_weight_roll_MOI = 217421.29 //slug-ft^2
empty_weight_pitch_MOI = 187288.65 //slug-ft^2
empty_weight_yaw_MOI = 343138.88 //slug-ft^2

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Make a copy of your original CFG file First, RC - no sense dancing on razors this weekend - and let's see if things improve for you...

Is this of any use? It's Cardington Airship Station for FS2004 by John McKeon. It works in CFS 2 except for some missing library objects. The R101 is in one of the hangars.

wow, i had forgotten about that. great find. I think those will work great, are the missing objects essential? maybe we can subsitute for them.

Sorry for digging up old thread everybody, but does anybody still have the L-44? I tried both filefront links many times, and both of them doesn't seem to work anymore.
Thanks in advance.

Ok, I sent an e-mail to Gary himself. Let's hope he still got the archives. I'll post later if I'll get an answer.

Alexander Belov has a few other goodies for FS2004 which work in CFS 2: airship stations at Karachi, Ismailia (Egypt), Cardington (England), St-Hubert (Canada), Tondern (Germany), as well as pre-war Aeropostale stations in France, West Africa, Canary Islands and Brazil.
