WWII Toys

I know there have been a few posts before about the fact that WWII, and military toys in general, are disappearing/gone from store shelves. With 21st Century gone, there was pretty much nothing left at anything local. Well if you pay attention to toys in this category you know that sometimes the molds are sold off and picked up by another company. I was at the local Wally World and turned around and BAM!!! Saw this.. Unfortunately there was only one left so I grabbed it up. $10

Sure it has a Malcolm Hood, but oh well, still neat...

Over here in the UK, there's been a steady incress in such toys on sale, but there now being marketed at adults as collectables rather than toys, companys like Corgi, which a few years ago was on its last legs, seem to be thriving producing good qaulity die-cast aircraft, i have one of there Polish sq Spitfires sitting on my PC tower, have a look at there cataloge----

Just went to the other Wal-Mart to see if they had the other models available...no dice... went back to this one, and bought two more P-51's... The one I bought of course was actually built wrong, I had to cut out the flaps, flip them around, & super glue them back. These are just like the 21st Century models... It comes with 3 different sets of canopies!!! , 2 diff. gear arrangements, & two diff. loadouts!!!

I think I may sell the other two on eBay as there were only a few I saw up on the web this morning.
