Wyld*House "Day of Days" (Rebuilt!)

This is a Wyld*House mission that I've had on my site for awhile,but it had a mission-fail
problem I could'nt figure out,then just put it on the back burner untill yesterday.

The Airbourne drop is now a "strike" with xploding-paratroopers over four towns. Gourbesville,
Ste Mere Eglise,Reuville and Hiesville. Once all flights have hit the target-towns and you reach
the last waypoint,the mission will finish as a success. Actually,the "Troopers" dont really explode,
its more like a bomb drops before the paratroops reach the ground.

I am glad you clarified the "exploding paratroopers". 82nd and 101st and other airborne units would not have like that, LOL

I like the mission and I am looking forward to the revised one

Thanks

God bless

Yep,thought of it as I was writing that line and realized how that sounded!
Oh,and dont forget the RAAF C47. I dont know who has that now. I believe
it came from the old CFC downloads. Its ok if you dont have it,just change
the mission line and put in the C47 you do have.

How do you edit C47 Loadout for xploding troopers?

Your "WH_DODs.txt" says to edit your C47 loadout for the xploding troopers? How do you do this? It might have been better to provide a new .xdp file.

The "Mission file failed to load" errors may have been caused by the missing facility file "Infantry_HQ". This facility is from ETO / Facilities.

Said edit,but meaning just ADD the troopers to your loadout list. Is the infantry HQ missing?
I didnt realize I had over looked that one. Some of that was done by Mr.Hobbit with the extra
facilities,and sometimes its easy to forget the extras.

How do you "ADD the troopers to the loadout list"?

Do you "ADD the troopers to the loadout list" by changing the xdp file? How exactly should the modified xdp file look?

The Austrailian DC-3, "DC_3 RAAF" and the USM "R4D1" both have paratroopers in their xdp files.

Yes, the facility "Infantry_HQ" was missing and is found in ETO / facilities.

Yea i messed this one up by using that facility... I wan't using a stock CFS3 set up back when I worked on this.. So I often placed the wrong items in without realizing it..
Very Sorry to all for this..

I now have a Stock CFS3 set up I build from. So as not to cause any problems like this now..
I hope all shall continue to enjoy the missios at Wyld Bill's site, he has some great ones there..
enjoy all..
Owen :salute:

Its simple really,just open the XDP file with notepad,and you can do one of two things.
You can either take out the "(1) Regular Troopers" within the quotes AND at top where
loadout name is,then add "Xploding Troopers" like this. Or just copy the loadout trooper
line thats allready there and paste,(I usually add it as the last loadout) like below;

<Loadout Name="(20)Xploding trooper stick" MissionType="CAS,Recon,Strike">
<Hardpoint ID="1" PylonType="pylon_null" PayloadType="Xploding_para-trooper_stick20" Quantity="1"></Hardpoint>
</Loadout>

There you will have both troopers. Thank you Owen!,hope all is getting better your way!
