Don't bother........it is a waste of money.

I have 3 computers in the house and none of them recognize the DVDs from Graphsim for installation.

I went on their website and one of the FAQs is: I put DVD 1 in and nothing happens, what do I do? Answer: Click on your DVD drive and navigate to the installer and double click.

Hey Graphsim, the DVDs do not recognize that a disk is in them. There is no navigate to anything because the DVDs you sent out are bad. Computers do not know a DVD is in them.

Anyway, don't be fooled by the nice printup on the box.

To be fair, I sent them and email outlining the above problem.
Let's see if and how they respond.

Standby for further...........

My XPlane9 DVD set worked just fine. I suspect that you got a bum set of discs. That does happen every now and then (even to Microsoft).
Are yours newly purchased or are they secondhand?

The reason I ask is because XPlane10 has been out since around Christmas 2011, so XP9 is an old version (although not by much) and it might be a problem to get replacement discs.
I hope that GraphicSims will do you right if they still have replacement discs in stock or offer you a discount towards a set of XP10 discs.

I wouldn't call it a waste of time/money until after you can actually check the sim out. Yeah...I know...that's hard to do with bad discs. :)
I still prefer MSFS over XPlane, but it's not a bad sim.

Okay, to be fair, it turned out to be my DVD. It would not read dual DVDs or two stage or whatever they call them.

I purchased the X-Plane 9 new from the military exchange, so they are not pirated DVDs.
I went and got a new DVD that reads all DVD formats and installed in my PC. It read the DVDs just fine.

I have now flown a couple of aircraft in Europe and in the States in X-Plane.
Some of the graphics are better than my FS9, some are not as good.

I see that we have an X-Plane forum here on SOH.
I will see about upgrades to scenery and aircraft and then provide a fairer evaluation.

I will say that Graphsim Entertainment was very good about replying to my email.
They pointed me in the right direction and though it cost me some money to purchase a new DVD RW on my computer.
I suppose it was worth it.

Edit. Nevermind, I see you got it sorted as I was typing.

Thats happened to me before, the CD drive went, lol... arrgh.
