The Yakovlev Yak-7 was developed from the earlier Yak-1 fighter. It was initially intended as a two seat type conversion trainer. As it incorporated a number of design improvements over the Yak- 1 it was soon realized that it would make a better fighter than the Yak-1. ...so how many projects do you have in the oven at any one point?

Actually, the oven is now empty. The next project has yet to be started, but it wil be an American fighter. It won't appear with the speed the last several planes did. Since this one is starting from scratrch I need to do the research before I can even fire up the FSDS program. Patience grasshopper :cool:

…and secretly I hope this American fighter will be a P-63 Kingcobra. The only one that I am aware of is a 1% plane without a working VC.
