It's always been said and very true, the more photos you take, the better the photographer you'll become. With digital, there's no excuse not to take lots.
 
Anybody with ANY auto-focus / digital camera can take decent photographs.
All that is needed is a basic comprehension of composition ( rule of thirds, natural framing, getting in close, etc.).......AND
..........being in the right place at the right time.

The following are fairly recent shots I consider to be so-so...........taken with a Canon D5 MKII and a Canon Rebel XT with Canon and Tamron glass.
