Yf-23a pav 800

I tried to move the HUD up. I thought the four numbers in the panel.cfg file in the HUD entry were for the X and Y position and the X and Y size of the HUD, respectively. So I changed the second number quite considerably, but I see absolutely no difference in either position or size of the HUD. Is it possible to move the HUD upwards and still have it keep working properly?

Added some panel lines back in...almost done. Need to lighten up the lines a bit...what do you think? Or I could just leave them out n altogether...not sure what I'm going to do. I think I'm going to lighten them up to be just slightly lighter than the base color and soften them. Then it will be done as far as I'm going to take it. ;)

You're all welcome. I'm glad that I can finally enjoy this particular bird much closer to the way the real one looked. I realize there's much to improve on but it's a plane I've always loved so I'm not through yet with it! For now yes, but I'll revisit it once my skills are worth more! LOL.

Last minute touch ups...I think I've got the specular down now to what I think looks more or less right...not a plastic model, but not reflecting intensities either...what do you think? I'll upload the updated files as soon as I can. Looks best with ENBseries...these are stock no edits.

YF-23 PAV1 800 v2 released

5/26/2014

***v2 Rev notes***

This is the complete texture set; not just the updated files

(1) Added modified Specular files to the texture set replacing the stock ones.

It's my opinion that these specular files now provide a closer rendition to the correct amount of light radiation from the almost completely matt finish on the real aircraft. Different photos taken from differing daytime hours provide many varied opinions as to the exact radiant engery illuminating the aircraft. However, I believe that these provide a good amount of specularity while not remaining completely matted, but also do not overly shine thus producing what I like to call the "plastic model kit" effect. As always, everyone has and is entitled to their opinions, and I respectfully submit that I'm not an expert repainter, nor do my talents even begin to resemble many of the fabulously talented painters found in the FS communities. I'm always open to suggestions! Thank you!

That really looks good .

I know it's a big ask , but would it be possible to release a version without the "ATF" artwork on the tail .
It would be nice to have it looking similar to an in USAF service " F-23 " , even though it would be
ficticious markings.

Cheers
Karol

I believe there is an "in service" version available already. Yes there is an afterburner mod available also. The reason it looks so bad is that it is modeled and not an effect. I'll have to search for it though. I believe I got from another member who hasn't released it publicly.
