You'd think that I'd know this, but...

Good afternoon,

Would anyone know whether or not Sopwith or Morton did any ANR / RSI repaints for any of Paul Rebuffat's Bf-109s? They might come in handy for the Tuskegee Airmen...

Any help or leads would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Hi Rami,

there are three Bf109G repaints in ANR/RSI colours that I am aware of. One was done by PomBee, and I think I got it here, for AvHistory's 1GR Bf109G-10-DC. It depicts a Bf109G-10-DC of IIo Gruppo Caccia Terrestre, 3a Squadriglia ANR "Diavoli Rossi" (Red Devils), based at Villafranca airport, right outside of Verona.

The other two repaints are for Rebuffat's Bf109G-14-AS, equipped with the high-altitude DB 605D engine, fitted with an increased diameter supercharger and MW50 water-methanol injection.

The second repaint comes with an entire aircraft re-upload. The model is Rebuffat's G-14-AS, but it depicts instead Bf109G-10-AS, W.Nr 491493, coded 2-8 of Io Gruppo Caccia, 2a Squadriglia "Asso di Bastoni", based at Lonate Pozzolo near Brescia in the spring of 1945. It was done by Daniele Biotti, but I cannot remember where I downloaded it.

I found the G-14AS repaint again with an entire aircraft re-upload over at Simviation a while ago, probably done by Alessandro Biagi, it was also recently re-uploaded for preservation at Lindsay Watts' website. It depicts an aircraft coded 1-10.

Cheers!
KH
