Sorry: Photobucket not working for me so no screenies

Its a very difficuly decision to make - Sir Thomas Sopwith was once asked to choose his favourite aeroplane that his company (Hawker) had designed and he said it was like choosing his favourite daughter.

I've had a lot of fun (and still do) with a myriad of types, but have to say the following are flown the most.

Auster AOP9 - David Moylneaux and Brian Horsey
Eurostar - Oskari Syynimaa and Hans Palsson
Helio Courier - Tim Conrad
Bucker Jungmann - Oliver Fischer
Chipmunk - Rick Piper

But as said earlier, it is difficult and other notables include Milton Shrupe's Beech 18, Lionheart's Bestmann and Mr Moylneaux's Austers. The list goes on and on and on......

I am truly grateful for anyone giving me the chance to try something new and I really appreciate all the work that goes into producing these aeroplanes.

Thank you.

Happy Landings,

Martin

Martin,

Where does one acquire the Eurostar? Cool looking little LSA....

A superb little aeroplane!!

Think the only place is from the Fsnordic website at:
http://www.fsnordic.net/Files

Its in the General Aviation section, along with an update, the paint kit and a few repaints. The scheme in my screenshots represents a locally based machine, which I've been lucky enough to have flown in on a number of occasions. This repaint is available from: www.classicbritishfiles.com

I've had lots of fun with the Eurostar. Hope you will too.

Best wishes,

Martin

1. LilSki's Champs of course.
2. Aeroplane Heaven's F3F-2
3. Lionheart's Kodiak
4. Piglet's Storch
5. Herr Fischer's Bu-131

Right now the AH Eindeckers are getting a lot of flying time. It is really a low and slow dream. Matter of fact, I have three repaints ready for all when I can get in to upload.

Gosh! With so many great aircraft it's almost impossible to pick a mere 5, but here goes; based on the Hobbs meters.

1. Lionheart's Epic. My default ride. Well maintained very high hour turbo :)
2. Freeware! Manfred's Super Connies
3. More Freebies! Section F8 Sabre. Best modelled er, model - bar none
4. Carenado's Mooney. Narrowly edges out Eaglesofts Cirrus as fav piston GA
5. FSD's venerable T-38

If I could go on (and I will) I'd give honourable mention to the generosity and hard work of so many freeware developers - Milton for the D18 and Dash 7, Rob's VTOL gauge in the Iris Harrier, Tiltrotor & V22, Samdim's TU114, That wonderful French team for the Cessna 150, Daisuke's team for the F18G and Orion, Nemeth AS350 and many, many more.

One thing's for sure. FS9 has a lot of life in it yet!

tough Call but... most flown would be:

-IRIS/DSB Hawk T.1 (T.1A-T.1W)
-IRIS/DSB Hawk 128/LIFT
-IRIS/DSB Hawk 200
-Kirk Olssons F-16D (Block 52 HAF Ghost Scheme)
-IRIS/DSB MiG-29 'Fulcrum'

.... in a way those are just the 5 top Jets in my 'Jets' Logbook... if i compare hours in Props it becomes somewhat.... different

-Rick Piper Chipmunk (yet another who loves the old Chippie)
-Piglets SA Bulldog (First plane I flew in as a Cadet)
-Milton Shupes DH.80
-Warwick Carters P-51 (Raining droptanks near you soon...)
-Just Flight/AH Tiger Moth (Tiggie.... enough said)

.... Yes i like DeHavilland :icon_lol:

Ah, Smoothie, looks like we have a fighter pilot in our midst. :d I like the Hawk 200, too, just don't fly it enough though. I really wish I could get that Lotus Sim L-39 for FS2004; it looks sickeningly, powerfully, disgustingly cool... :d :bump:

Oh I like Munks, too. That was supposed to be in this list, and since someone came up with the idea of throwing another 4 or 5 into their list, I'll do that, too. :d

I think my 5th plane in this list may become the FSD Cessna 337. I was just thinking about it again, and I've wanted it for years. It also fits my takeoff and landing requirements for those sometimes short Caribbean runways, with dual engine reliability, and no torque on takeoff, with excellent engine-out performance, and.... :d ;)

Anyway, I'm gonna keep readin' up on it, and will probably buy it tonight. :ernae:

Preliminary list (Screen shots later):
  1. Aerial Foundry F/A-18 family
  2. Iris Simulations F-15E/C
  3. Former donationware Corsair family (didn't realize tail draggers were so difficult to taxi).
  4. VRS Super Hornet
  5. Cloud 9 F-104
Recent other guest shots include;
  • Vans RV-7 from Factory Flight Simulations
  • Cloud 9 Frecce Tricolori
  • DSB F-20
  • OV-10 Bronco by Piglet
  • F-16 C by Kirk Olssen
  • Cessna 0-2/337 by FSD
  • C-17 by FSD - If anyone has a working Altus paint scheme I would almost sell my first born for it.
  • C-5M by Area 51 Simulations

yeah wish Lotus could get the 'Albatross' into FS9 but oh well, there is one being worked on for FS9 thankfully... yeah FS Fighter Pilot is me, not a lot i can't do apart from shoot down that tube that cut me up on approach :icon_lol: or bomb the ATC Tower for being such ignorant B******s :icon_lol:

1. FSD or Carenado PA32-301 is my favorite piston single
2. Milton Shupe's Twin Beech takes care of the piston twins
3. Manfred's Connies (L-749/L1049/L-1649A) when 2 engines just aren't enough :D
4. Mr. Piper's HS-748/HS-780 for a more classical turbine engine transport
5. DA Aviation Piper Cheyenne for a personal transport with PT-6s

My top 8 which never made it

The question is too difficult for me to answer there is too much quality in FS2004 and beside stunning detailed model there are also models I just like because they are special to me.

So I decided to share my top 8 of models which never made a final release. Many hours have been put into these models. Some were made available as beta, some were only shared with a few lucky ones.

The Caudron C450/460 by Restauravia (Manu?) freat model, with the perfect VC a beta has been available via a Russian site.

Fokker G-1 by Michel Migaud, will it ever be released?

Fokker D-XXI by Paul Straney. The model was intended for CFS2 but works great in FS9 as well. Beautiful model, great textures! Never passed the beta stage.

Focke-Wulf FW190A4 from Groundcrew design group (Mathias Pommerien). Now available in FSX, but the model was never finished in FS9. A beta has been made available several times.

Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIC the last model made by Robert Sanderson. A beta shared with a fe, but never made public.

Messerschmitt Bf110E, will most probably be finished in FSX like the Fock-Wulf. The beta is available via Reg's Hangar.

Percival Prentice T1 by Jeff Marsh made to support Air Atlantique, but a beta has been made available. The beta can still be found here : http://www.pavaservices.com/cfs/prentice_beta.htm

A Fokker S-11 by Wozza. Just an early beta, which was discontinued already a while ago.
