The Mallard is here, The Mallard is here!!

Dobry wieczór (Good Evening) Dear Jan !
Thank You very much for good advice - removing the reflections made a big improvement for looking outside and admiring the scenery is much clearer :)
Is there any further way to make the glass full transparent ? I mean the more real look like in outside view ? I enclosed the picture with moving a bit out of cockpit to get the difference between internal and external look of the world. The internal is still a bit "milky".
Thanks & regards !

You're welcome Kaigun. It is very likely that you won't see any VC with which you do not see this effect while moving your view outside of the cockpit windows. I mean it sure is not something exclusive to the Mallard VC. (f.i. check the default Cessna 172). There will always be a difference of some kind between how the scenery looks from within the VC (of aircraft with enclosed cockpits) or from Spotview or any other external view. It comes with 'the glass'... If you'd want to see no difference at all between internal and external view, i.e. no glass at all in the cockpit windows, you're going to feel pretty cold pretty quickly... :)

cheers,
Jan

That's clear Jan - I am rather "warm-loving animal", so prefer to have some glass than nothing :biggrin-new: !!! Thanks again ! :wavey:

Lost a lot of weight

Spokes, thanks again; I'm going to do your #1 suggestion as soon as I get a few technical brain cells in order. For the short term I followed #2 and it works perfectly, I should have thought of it myself. If you empty the bilge tanks manually and save the flight, when you go there again you're bilge-free. If you make it the default flight, you can move the airplane anywhere you want and still be bilge-free. I'm going to do the other thing, just to see if I can, but for now I'm happy. Thanks again.

Beautiful Kiwi Bird!!

ho, that's looking very good!

Meanwhile, variations upon a theme:

almost done...

Thank you sir...as does yours, as always:untroubled: Need to give the folks in Oceania something to fly around in down there. I am re-doing VH-CQA (currently at Evan's Head) that I'd done for the FS9 WIP so, onward and upward.

Wonderful repaints, especially Wien - like a visit with an old friend.

Glad you like the Wien Air. I am particularly fond of it as well, if for no other reason than the challenge it offered my creaky skills. I have another Australian livery that I am finishing and then a West Coast Air for the next North American machine, another from the past...

First saw N1208 when it flew under the Northern Consolidated livery then after they and Wien did a merger.

Great paints both of you!

I've got a weird issue with the landing lights. I'm in P3D 3.1 here

There's these little orbs that come off.... does anyone else see this? Could be a P3D thing.

Thanks for the compliment. I also have P3Dv3.1 and have not encountered that effect. I just fiddled a bit with lighting settings and could not reproduce it.

two paints uploaded on OZx:

same aircraft, different registrations. Bit of background:
This airframe was constructed in late 1946 and delivered to Canada on 25-01-1947 as CF-FFG. By mid 1951 it was in Indonesia as PK-AKG with an offshoot of Shell Oil. It then moved to the Netherlands New Guinea register as JZ-POB in 1955. It eventually became VH-TGA in 1962 with East Coast Airlines followed by a transfer to Trans Australia Airlines in mid 1963 and used on the "Coralair Service". It was ferried into Auckland on 13-10-1963 and became ZK-CDV on the 15th for Utah-Williamson-Burnett at Invercargill. It still had some hydraulic problems as its nosewheel collapsed on 07-10-1964 at Invercargill. It was purchased in about 1969 by the Department of Internal Affairs and went to NAC in Christchurch for some refurbishment and a paint job before being cancelled on 21-02-1969 and marked up as VQ-FBC. This was for Air Pacific with whom it carried the name "Na Secala". It was withdrawn from use in Fiji on 04-10-1970 and cancelled from their register on 31-03-1971 for transfer to the US as N2442H the following day. It has soldiered on ever since; moving to Canada as C-GRZI for about a year in 1978 before returning to the US again. In June of 1993 it was sold to Steve Hamilton of Reno Nevada and re-registered as N2950 in March of 1998. It is still current I believe?

Most 3d lighting effects in fsx are made by faking it with the lights of fsx, by making a stream or cone of them... ours or A2As are no different.

P3d doesn't like this.... there's no way to fix it. It just doesn't support lights the same way. you can remove the effect in the cfg file.

Nice! I did find a picture of the Northern Consolidated livery but, but only in black and white.

Truly awesome work. Thank you Milton and LDR Team. One request, if possible and without much trouble please make an option for completely clear vc windows. Thanks again.
