Douglas C-47 V3 Beta Released

Well how about this then....?

http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?do=copyright&fid=191454 (you need to log in first).

I hope this helps you?

Cheers.

Nononono.....it's not the interior, padding etc...it's the actual PANEL itself that needs to be blue-grey. Everyone's coming up with new and sexy 'interiors'...but the panel's always black.

If/when I get away from painting Aussie exteriors I'll do what I 'usually do' and create a 2D panel for the '47 to 'match' the VC [if the VC is ever close to the VH-OMV and then I'll' use the photo I took specifically for it] ...;)

I have a feeling that it'll all be as hard as....since the gauges, etc are coded in.

Like this then?

DOH!?! Now I understand what you mean...

Lucky ncooper saved the day!

Thank you ncooper. Sorry Jafo.

Cheers,
Tim.

Yesterday I tried to fly at night (P3Dv3).

No any floodlight or VC lights on gauges? :(

Somewhere there was an announcement that this beta was only cleared for daytime operations as there were several (cockpit) lights still missing.

I wasn't able to find this announcement, but clearly this V3.12 beta still isn't the fully finished model.

Cheers,
Huub

Manfred Jahn - I would like to make a suggestion, being this is a beta version of the plane. My suggestion is to make a model, or make these items removable with a keystroke: these items are the Rebecca Antennas (AN-128) on each side of the cabin. This aircraft flew more without them than with them. It would be nice to have a model with that excluded, as later (mostly post D-Day) repaints would look correct. LOVE the airplane. I have recently purchased many new aircraft, and haven't touched them because of this. Thanks again for your efforts!

Yes, fuel flow and performance at various altitudes still need tweaking, particularly fuel flow. One of the team is doing exhaustive tests on this and producing quite an impressive amount of data, including charts and analysis. I believe there will be adjustment to better match book values in the future from the excellent flight model team member.

As for the checklist, those items were considered and left off on purpose to keep the checklist concise (and adapted for sim use).

Glad you knew of the fuel flow issue and are already on it.

On the checklist, I understand but seems Engine Run Up is important...my 2 cents.

Great Work IMHO

Download worked great for me in less than 2min. Check your download speed. If its not at least 500kbps contact your internet provider tomorrow. I had to do that and get Atlantic Telephone to fix our internet connection. We went from 80kbps to 600kbps without changing the program or any upcharge costs. by the time I sent this reply it was downloaded and ready to use. I tried to do sheepskin seats but it didn't work for me. I got texture but the leather stitching in it. Looked dumb so I put them back. In the C117D I had no problem making leather seats if you want to look over at that thread. Different files I guess. Thank you for your work and sharing it with us.

Yes, but it wasn't for you but for me...and I'm the one for whom it fails....;)

Correction....24 hours later and the squirrels who power this Internet got everything going between the UK and Oz....so 4th time it was no problem.

Edit 2 .... the panel looks great....can almost smell the sheepskin covers [certainly close enough]...;)

Hello Griphos triflyman and javis, very many thanks for your replies, firstly I thought I had caught the AH square on but looking back at the picture I must have moved my head slightly just as I pressed the Print Screen so apologies for that, when I took that screen shot I was in level flight and although the picture was taken slightly from the left if you look closely at the wings on the artificial horizon the right wing is in a slightly banked attitude.

Please do not think that I am in any way trying to pick fault but do have some concerns as to the present function of the Artificial Horizon albeit only a minor one at that. I have to agree totally with griphos about the quality of this gauge as it could very well be mistaken for the real one especially the screws and marks on the panel itself.

Overall this aircraft and cockpit including the sounds has been done to an extremely high standard and I cannot get enough flying in it, usually I plan my flights to be from thirty minutes and up to an hour and a half doing the milk runs between airports and have not yet tried the auto pilot and that brings me to a very quick question.......are there any plans to have the autopilot fully working at some point? as when first installed I had noticed that an inop has been placed over the heading selector.

Again. many thanks for your replies.

Regards
Nigel.

Thanks Manfred for another great model,

I am late posting as i have now got FSX running at last after a while without my PC.

Cheers,

Roger.
