A2A WOPIII P-47 Out Now!!!

Here is a screenshot of the inside of a hangar at RAF Digby. Thanks to IanP for creating this (and other) excellent WWII airfields. It makes flying these warbirds more fun for me.

I had parked up after a short flight and knowing that it is winter I was running the oil dilution prior to shutting down the engine. If you are going to be starting your P-47 from a saved flight in cold weather running the oil dilution for a few minutes makes the subsequent startup so much easier. I guess you all knew that already from reading the manual... no just jumping in and flying it without reading the manual here i bet ;)

I was working on it when some 'lil gremlin lit my stinkin' engine on fire. When I find that rascal I'm gonna feed his carcass through the dang turbocharger:violent:

Ya'll are sure making it hard NOT to get this bird.......the doghouse is getting awful cozy these days....

OK - after reading this Thread and all your positiv comments - i could`nt resist. Oh what a beauty :jump: - great Bird (if she have enough throttle-setting - if not she fly like a Toast-Bred - straight down ;-) )

take a quick snape - "coming home ...."

One of the first times I forgot to turn on the oxygen at altitude I walked away from my desk for a few minutes. When I came back in the room my monitor was all black and I was getting ready to reboot thinking my video card had a hiccup.

Then I realized my pilot had blacked out. :)

Turned the oxygen back on, he came back around and luckily the plane was still flying okay.

And how, precisely, did you see to turn the oxygen on? ;)

I'm seriously loving this aircraft. I haven't flown it as much as I'd like yet, but so far it's been phenomenal and I've only killed myself once! (Trying to do a low pass over Wormingford to screenshot it - hit a wooden hut while looking the other way. Oops.)

Alright, I give! Why isn't my dumb bunny of a pilot not putting his mask on? The only way I can get the blinker to work is turn the emergency O2 on to 100%?! When I turn it off again he starts sucking wind. The 100% setting only has a short duration before it runs out. The only thing I can find in the manual is....."Put your O2 mask on"........no really! hehe I know it's something simple that I'm missing but that's why I'm not one of the world's great minds (according to the wife)! Congrats to Scott and the team at A2A, what can I say? I'm in love with my Jug!!:ernae:

Could't resist and also got this bird yestreday. She will be awesome bird for the long-range hops around the world :D

Great repaints, Gents! Martin, Jan and Stephan, you are doing excellent job! Looking forward to some Soviet repaint in some far future :D

Well, the autopilot key commands work, but there is no autopilot panel. So everything must be set manually (Z + ctrl+Z + CTRL+H, etc.)
