• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

All Windows 7 Versions--What You Need to Know

Well- sounds like Windows 7 Starter will end up considered crap-ware with that silly 3-app restriction... seems like most people load up many times that just on start-up!
The rest of it sounds good, though...

Why would anyone want a 32 bit version if they invested tons of money for the hardware needed to run win 7 ?

Why would anyone want a 32 bit version if they invested tons of money for the hardware needed to run win 7 ?

Because some installers, games, and Windows programs that people use on a regular basis are still 16-bit (DOS, Windows 3.x), and won't run on a 64-bit OS. In most cases, the person or company that wrote it is out of business now, and no newer versions are available.

Bigger problem than you might think.
