Aeroplane Heaven Hawker Typhoon Released

All vendors now have the Service Pack. A re-install is necessary as the SP covers a lot of the pack. Also included is a revised paintkit and a bonus livery - a colourful "sharknose" theme.

Installed v1.1 and the differences are noticeable. Wish the trim was geared a little finer (you're either going up or down) but I can live with it. Still only managed one landing without bouncing and that was done from outside!! Preferred technique (I've read) is to land on the mains and let the rear settle in it's own time. Will work on that;)

Thanks Bazz,

JustFlight just notified me with an e-mail about the patch, so they have the patch "up-and-running".

Cheers,
Huub

I find that with a lot of my aircraft but I adjust this myself by tweaking the elevator trim effectiveness and pitch sensitivity in the Flight Tuning section of the aircraft.cfg

Yup.. that's almost certainly what I'll end up doing. The excessive bounce on landing is the annoying thing for me at present. It's a bit like the Aircraft Factory Corsair until someone came up with a mod. Light or heavy, fast or slow, I find it nigh on impossible to TD and stay down:dizzy:

No invasion stripes! Thank you :very_drunk:

Not strictly correct.. there are some on the underside of the rear fuse:biggrin-new: I know what you mean though:encouragement:

Oops.. EDIT: No.. there are none at all on that one so you're good to go!!

Ooh! That's rather nice...

dives into books...

245 Squadron. They spent quite a lot of time at Holmsley South pre-D-Day, thankfully, before beginning the European Tour of coded ALGs. They also took Typhoon Ib to Peterhead for Feb '43. I'm covered. Phew. :very_drunk::dizzy:

Just packaging up B.7 ALG (Martragny, Calvados) - should be up later tonight.

Drat. Hijacking.

/me slaps himself on the wrist and disappears back into The Dark Corner to go back to taking screenshots.

Before you ask, the first shot is from Team SDB/FCS RAF Driftfield. Second shot over Ian P's Caffiers German AB. Third shot is at Team SDB Station Goxhill.

I didn't find a link for German Airbase at IanP's site... any guidance ?
And these "cans" certainly look yummy... to be opened.

Some VERY close strafing ...

Might have to download his "all-in-one" file per this note...

"The “All-in-One Scenery Download” contains a dump of my “IJP Scenery” folder, containing all of my sceneries, whether complete, Work-in-Progress or just-dumped-here-never-to-be-completed. Just because something is in here does not mean that it will ever have more work done on it, sorry! If you do want me to work on a specific scenery, though, then please let me know."

If you do a search of the SOH forum for "Caffiers" or FSX German airbases, etc., there are several threads on the subject.

My quickie photo doesn't show all the detail of the scenery, but its a good one to have.

Poor Caffiers... Everyone beats Caffiers up! Guess I should put some AI in at Tramecourt to guide people there and attack that instead...

Here's somewhere closer to go and duff them up from, whichever you decide needs strafing...

http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/yegads-sah-its-a-whole-new-scenery-what/

Please note though, that if you want to see the statics, you'll need Fulbert's static Hawker Typhoon from the FSX scenery object library here at SOH... :)

Cheers,

Ian P.

Edited to add:

Yes, all the Luftwaffe airfields are in the "All-in-One" pack, including one that isn't available on its own (QLAB) and a couple that are just bare bones. The individual ones available are:

Tramecourt: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/historical/dlw/q0tc/IJP_Q0TC_v1-0.zip
